I heard about this early this morning but didn't have time to report it myself, so here's the coverage from…
…KCRG.com:
Postville - Postville police are looking for a man who they say stabbed two other men.
It happened just before three A-M.
This is the same town where immigration officers raided the Agriprocessors meat-packing plant.
People living in Postville say this attack is only making a tense town even more nervous.
Police say 47-year-old Norberto Luna stabbed two other men here on the corner of Tilden and Lawler Streets.
Officers say Luna is dangerous and on the loose.
When police first arrived to this area they found 19-year-old Irving Villarreal bleeding from a minor stab wound.
Next they found 37-year-old Ricardo Salinas suffering from a much more serious stab wound.
Rescue crews took both men to the hospital. Villarreal was treated and released.
Salinas was air-lifted to a Wisconsin hospital.
His condition is not known.
Now police are trying to figure out what led up to the stabbing.
An Allamakee County Sheriff's Deputy guarded the scene all day.
The whole event has people living in Postville feeling on edge.
Sr. Mary McCauley from St. Bridget’s Catholic Parish said, "I was totally disheartened when I heard that another very frightening incident occurred in this town. And it's going to cause people to live in even greater fear."
TV-9 talked with several people here who didn't want to talk on camera because of the sensitivity of the issue.
They say the stabbing comes as no surprise. They say tensions have been growing since the immigration raid back in May.
Police say Luna is believed to be driving a green 19-90's Model Ford Aerostar with Illinois license plate number 9-4-6-5-8-1-7.
Although the report doesn't say it, I've been told by a reliable source the men involved work at Agriprocessors and are newer hires. I'm working to confirm this.
I was just told as I was posting this that one of the men has died.
Treat the information on this possible death and the men's connections to Agriprocessors with a grain of salt until I can get confirmation.
