I've seen hospital and nursing home chaplains from dozens of different religious groups but I've never seen a secular humanist chaplain – why? Are they out there but I just have not seen them? Do humanists not believe in visiting the sick and elderly? Is this lack of humanist chaplains/professional visitors a real life version of the no atheists in foxholes quip? I.e., is there no demand for secular humanist chaplains? What's up with this? Readers?
