I just began reading Nathan Englander's new book, The Ministry of Special Cases. I'm too early in the book to write a formal review, but let me say this clearly – this is an exceptional book. Englander hit a grand slam with his debut effort almost ten years ago, For Relief of Unbearable Urges, the most heralded short story collection from any author in many, many years. Englander has done it again with The Ministry of Special Cases. You can pre-order it now on Amazon. Do it. You won't regret it.
