Moshe and Aaron Rubashkin's mill is on fire again:
ALLENTOWN, PA-July 25, 2005 — Emergency teams remained on the scene of a building fire and hazardous material situation during the noon hour in Lehigh County.
The flames apparently started just before 11am near South 6th and Cumberland streets.
The building, formerly known as the Montex Textiles Mill, has been abandoned for some time, according to authorities.
Several people near the fire scene have been treated for skin irritations.
The mill borders a residential neighborhood and city officials have been very concerned that children would be injured or killed in the badly damaged, abandoned building. Let's hope that a fire starting during a hot summer day does not indicate children trapped in that building. Rubashkin has defaulted on hundreds of thousands of dollars in property taxes and has not taken adequate steps to secure the building. The felon who leads the Crown Heights Community Council may have – God Forbid – just upped his rap sheet to include murder.
