The New York Times has weighed in on the Slifkin Book Ban. The piece reads like Agudath Israel damage control – and so it may very well be. It should be clear by now that the haredi world has been seriously damaged by the ban, and this shallow attempt to play good cop, bad cop is meant to address that. However, I don't think it will succeed. 100 years from now historians will write about the death of ultra-Orthodoxy. The Slifkin Book Ban will figure prominently in those writings.
Perhaps we should send the NY Times copies of the new Rabbi Adlerstein Jewish Action puff job on FrumTeens just to hasten that final justice a bit.
Ooooooooooooh, but that wouldn't be nice, now would it, Gil?
