PETA Calls On Iowa To Prosecute Rubashkin

Des Moines, Iowa — Following its recent seven-week undercover investigation of AgriProcessors, Inc., a meat plant located in Postville, PETA is calling on Iowa Secretary of Agriculture Patty Judge to institute legal proceedings against the company for violations of state law that requires the use of humane methods of slaughter. PETA has furnished Secretary Judge with shocking video footage of improperly executed kosher slaughter, which results in the mutilation of fully conscious cows at AgriProcessors who are shown writhing in agony in pools of their own blood.
