A group of well-heeled activists announced today that they have launched a renewed effort to remove the president.
“This horrible situation cannot continue. A leader must be able to lead, to speak well, to express himself clearly. Our nation now suffers from a leader who can do none of these things,” the group’s spokesman said. “We are demanding eloquence.”
For its part, the administration has concentrated on stressing its successes in navigating what it called a “treacherous wilderness” of "Biblical proportions" and has repeatedly urged the nation to focus on its “victories” and not to put undue stress on the “external trappings” of leadership.
But according to the activists, all this talk of “victory” is irrelevant.
“We need better relations with our neighbors,” the activists’ spokesman Mr. Korah said. “We need to reach out for peace, not rush into ill-planned, ill-timed, preventable wars. Let’s face facts,” Mr. Korah noted, “eloquence could have saved many lives.”
Neither Moses, his brother and spokesman Aaron, or his chief of staff Joshua bin Nun were available for comment as this report went to press.
