The problems in Europe is basically a Muslim problem,I would venture to guess that 95% of the antiisemitic incidences are Moslem originated.

It's a Muslim problem and it's the European version of a redneck problem and it used to be an overtly Christian-church problem though the days of Father Coughlin and his ilk seem to largely be behind us. Yochanan, you make an excellent point. One on hand, my feeling is...If there is a mass (or even increased) Exodus of Jews from the Middle East...then, on a certain level...the terrorists have won.

Just like, at some point after the Oklahoma City Bombing, I think that the stretch of Pennsylvania Avenue in front of the White House was made into a pedestrian mall. At that point...the terrorists do score a victory.

But at the same time, I'm writing there remarks as someone who's pretty safe in Colorado Springs, Colorado. If I was a father of three children living in France or other European countries right now....it's something I would give serious thought to doing.

My father was not a particularly expressive or emotional man; but one thing I realized about as I was growing up, is that if the five of us had been living in Germany in the 1930's...he would not have waited until Kristallnacht to get us out of there. He would gotten us out of there long before that. And if he could not have gotten us to the US, he would have taken us to South America, to where a number of Jews in Europe (thankfully) fled when they realized that they could not get to the US, and had the presence of mind to know that they had to get out of Europe.

But luckily, his grandparents (from Latvia) had caught the ship coming over in the 1890's...so that was that.

But you raise a very thought-provoking question.
