I would urge everyone to read the transcripts and see for themselves just how badly FM distorted them. You could probably get a more accurate version of the proceedings from your local Chabad Rabbi.

I was pointing out that once again (as he has done so often), the author of FM has got his facts wrong.

The author of FM has embarrassed himself throughout the commission with his ignorant one-sided drivel as much as some of the Rabbis have.

Any factually incorrect statement can be corrected by adding a couple of words here and there.

Let me state this again for those like John who have trouble understanding simple concepts like fact and fiction:

The author writes multiple times that these are the complete transcripts. Not only are these not the complete transcripts, but the complete transcripts are not available yet. Ergo, the author got his facts wrong as he has done so many other times when reporting on the royal commission.

If you can't understand that, then your ability to understand the most simple logical argument are flawed.

The phrasing may not have been perfect, but unlike the testimony contained in these transcripts it wasn't an lie, an obfuscation or deliberate misrepresentation.

You don't wait until the completion of a trial or hearing before you get the trial,proceeding or hearing transcript. If you want the testimony of something or some day, you obtain the complete transcript for that specific thing. Shmarya is in the United States and he is properly referencing how it works in this country and no doubt how it works everywhere else because Mishe Yodeah truly is a knuckle dragger.

It is a letter of thanks sent to Maria Gerace, Counsel Assisting the Royal Commission in this case study.

Dear Maria,

Jews all over Australia and even beyond, but particularly, of course, in Melbourne and Sydney, would all like to envelope you in a big, virtual bear-hug to thank you for what you did for us over the last several weeks. (That is, not just the two weeks of public hearings that were the public face of the Royal Commission's case study number 22, but all the behind-the-scenes work that must have gone on during the preceding weeks and months of preparation, all the additional late-night work outside the court room that must have gone on during the last two weeks, and the work that is yet to follow.)

These words are insufficient to express the depth of the heartfelt gratitude to you from sexual abuse victims, from those who were vilified and ostracised by the culture of cover up, and additionally from many others, who, like myself, were merely the victims of having been educated in institutions that were run by what in later life we came to understand amounted to a cult -- far more benign, admittedly, than the likes of Jonestown, but with cult-like behaviours, nonetheless, a window to which was opened up to public gaze by this case study.

You were the public voice over the last two weeks that spoke for all of us in a way that we couldn't, and, cathartic as it was over the whole of the last two weeks, it reached an epic climax on the morning of the last day when Rabbi Telsner, the head rabbi (for all intents and purposes) of Chabad in Australia, was on the stand. It was a great consolation and relief to see how, with each question, you held up to him a moral compass and yardstick, against which you invited him to measure not only the legality but also the morality of his words, his actions and his inactions, and against which he patently did not measure up. It was a vindication of sorts to see that in his responses to many of those questions he could do nothing but concede his moral failures, thanks to your skill and persistence.

And you did it all with a dignified air of moral authority, backed up, not by virtue of an appointment to an office, but by irrefutable ethical axioms and propositions, which the rabbi had no counter to. (Those home sermons of yours that you humorously mentioned in an aside to a question you put to Mr Don Wolf two days earlier must be quite something to listen to.)

Congratulations Maria; your name will forever be spoken of within the Jewish communities of Australia with gratitude and admiration.

Even if this is but a job for you,you are doing G-D's work as per the testimny of R Moshe Gutnick & also R Glick when he conceded as much at the end of his testimony.R Glicks testimony I found to be unfathomable as per his earlier testimony when Cyprys had his commital hearing.Nevertheless R Glick acknowledged that you were in fact doing G-D's work.
