Washington Heights Doctor, 10 Others, Indicted For Drug Trafficking
Dr. Moshe Mirilishvili and 10 co-conspirators allegedly illegally distributed 1 million Oxycodone tablets from a storefront office in the Washington Heights neighborhood of Manhattan, US prosecutors say. Mirilishvili and eight of his co-conspirators were arrested Thursday after a 2-year Drug Enforcement Administration investigation into the distribution of the highly addictive prescription narcotic. Two suspects are still at large. Each of the 11 defendants could be sentenced to as much as 20 years in prison.

Is Moshe Mirikishvili a common name. I know someone by this name but he doesn't live in Washington Heights.

One of his many 'practices' is in Washington Heights.
It's a perfect location for catering to drug seekers, especially NJ suburbanites with cash coming over from the nearby George Washington Bridge.
His home address is listed on the document I referenced above, 600 Pine Hollow Road, East Norwich, NY 11732
Cosmetic surgery, abortions, and pain management are the 3 favorite specialties of sleazebag docs. The clientele is often desperate, gullible, and/or willing to pay cash.

this dr mirilishvili must be a very stupid doctor . I don't know where he comes from , prob a bukharian jew from Russia .
he should know that each and every controlled substance prescription is carefully recorded by the DEA under his name and NPI # and kept on record with no fail and very carefully watched by the DEA after a few hundreds pills . one million pills ! he is done .

That is especially true in his case because he had already lost his medical license in NY and NJ for committing insurance fraud. He managed to appeal and get a deal to have his license reinstated. (See the link I posted above.)
You would think that after all that, he would watch himself and make sure to be 100% clean in everything he did from now on. But no, with him it's once a crook always a crook, and that old Iron Curtain mindset that you can outsmart anybody and scam your way through anything anytime.

"...a sprawling operation led by Dr. Mirilishvili, who charged $200 in cash for patient visits that involved little actual care, but almost always led to his prescribing 90 30-milligram tablets of oxycodone.
The customers, the authorities said, were members of drug crews who were recruited and paid by traffickers to pose as patients in order to receive medically unnecessary prescriptions.
The staff at the clinic created fake M.R.I. reports to suggest that patients were injured, and also manufactured urinalysis reports to certify that the patients were taking, rather than selling, the oxycodone, officials said. In all, between October 2012 and this month, the 1.2 million oxycodone tablets that Dr. Mirilishvili prescribed had a street value of $36 million or more, federal prosecutors said..."
