Full Transcript Of Haredi Mega Thief Eliyahu Weinstein's Sentencing Hearing
As first reported by Failedmessiah.com, earlier today haredi mega-thief Eliyahu Weinstein was sentenced for his role in the Weinstein 2 fraud case. Here is the complete transcript of this sentencing hearing, complete with remarks about Weinstein's mistress, his out of wedlock children, the haredi community's harassment of prison wardens and the federal Bureau of Prisons on Weinstein's behalf, his complete failure to make restitution in either Weinstein 1 or Weinstein 2, his continual lies, and the judge saying that Weinstein is "evil incarnate" in response to Weinstein's attorney's claims that Weinstein isn't.

This is amazing: "What we have is simply a person who is fraudulent in his very essence. That's all he is, he is a fraud. He doesn't know anything else. Everything he tells people is fraudulent, it's a lie, it's bogus. This business about being a wonderful man in the community is completely fraudulent and bogus. We know it's easy to be a hero using other people's money."

it is truly amazing how the judge calls him evil incarnate and how the rabbis and families have bothered politicians wardens and bureau of prison people
he filed fifty comp[laints in one day
the solution
put him in with bubba and let bubba be the complaint dept

All I can say is - WOW!!!!
I have a sneaking suspicion that he'll wind up in Butner, where he and Bernie Madoff can compare notes.

I'd love this judge to deal with all those criminals who NEVER accept responsibility, but instead cry antisemitism and talk about what great, charitable people they are "with other people's money".

His girl friend Westin and the two kids that Weinstein sired , a girl named Mercedes and a boy Justin will now fall on government aid to survive.

From reading this letter, I don't see where the judge lambasted the lakewood community, nor the rabbis that were present during sentencing as the previous story mentioned.
Please elaborate. I'm curious!

WOW! His Honor called him "evil incarnate." Bril.
ge0rge | December 15, 2014 at 10:18 PM Giving new and amusing meaning to 'the big O' - read the pages referring to his supporters relative to the missing money, his resources and how his attorneys are paid as well as why His Honor doesn't the Evil Incarnate next to any city hub close to an airport, and use your head (no double entendre meant - really).

My hat's off to this judge. What this pig deserves is what was done to Ben Hur's mother and sister (not the movie version - read the book...) - put him in a dark hole, push a little food through a hole a few times a day and forget about him and literally let him rot.

Nah, Butner is on the East Coast and it's minimum security.

All I can say is…"wow",…this judge hit every point!
This guy Weinstein must take the cake, so to speak!

I've been wondering this for a long time. Maybe someone can explain it to me. Assuming that all the money Weinstein got from his victims came from and then to back accounts at some point how can the money then just vanish, unless what we're talking about is people literally handing him suitcases of cash that never gets deposited in a back or him taking suitcasea of cash out a bank. Otherwise every normal bank transaction is completely traceable to some logical endpoint. $200 million of lost money just seems impossible to believe.

When I was a young man (decades ago) I was an electrician in Boro Park & Williamsburg. At the time it simply boggled my mind how these supposedly "religious" men conducted one fraud after another. Everywhere I turned I saw money scandals, stealing & other crimes being committed. I remember telling my "frum" boss at the time that I thought it was wrong the way he conducted himself & his business dealings and that someday the law would catch up with shysters like himself. I'm 61 YO & I'm happy to see that day has finally arrived.

I think that what is interesting are the parallels to the Sholam Weiss case.
In both cases there was a large fraud. $200M for Weinstein and $420M for Weiss.
And both had "mistresses" (I put that in quotes, because my feeling is the wives were complacent to it. Weiss had Brazilian girlfriend.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sholam_Weiss
Weiss is serving a 845-year sentence with a projected "release date" of November 23, 2754.

One thing doesn't make sense: Is Chambers colluding with Weinstein now? I don't get why the two would meet after what the judge and government said. Don't they know he's evil incarnate?
Posted by: Y | December 16, 2014 at 09:19 AM
He's made a terrible chillul hashem! and he deserves what ever he gets.the only people one can feel sorry for, are, his wife and kids!
Posted by: Michael White | December 16, 2014 at 10:21 AM
Chambers isn't colluding with wienstein
if you read the transcript eli has given his information and emails of the transaction to chambers lawyers
what that does is put all those who aren't indigted in the civil suit and liets those people like todd lehrfeld muschel and other lawyers an people who worked with eli to not blame eli
I think it was a great move by chambers lawyers so now those involved should be very very worried when those emails are released
Posted by: shlieder and wienstein lehrfeld are crooks | December 16, 2014 at 11:22 AM
The poor Chambers are so desperate to recover some of their money that they are allowing themselves to be duped yet once again.
Posted by: Forty Eighter | December 16, 2014 at 11:23 AM
I don't think so I think some people from 45 and 48 need to be very worried
but time will tell
Posted by: shlieder and wienstein lehrfeld are crooks | December 16, 2014 at 11:30 AM
. . .if those emails are real. When you're dealing with Weinstein, anything is possible. He's a liar. His one-sided conversations or emails are designed to dupe and deceive. It just means nothing.
Posted by: Y | December 16, 2014 at 12:18 PM
I wonder just who shlieder and wienstein lehrfeld are crooks is.
To quote Judge Pisano: "Mr. Weinstein is the one who took their money. Let's not beat around the bush. The money was not provided for the benefit of anybody."

How about, they re-introduce the Cane ? remember that kid in singapore ? he got the cane across his tush ! I'm sure he never sprayed graffiti again .
Posted by: jake | December 16, 2014 at 01:09 PM
By all accounts, it looks like Weinstein conned Chambers into not making an impact statement so that his record would be better on appeal.

No where in the transcript does the judge castigate the Lakewood community.
That was just a wishful headline created by the operator of this blog.
Posted by: Truth | December 16, 2014 at 01:41 PM
please look at the transcript of shlieder where the same judge speaks about this behavior and the leading citizens of Lakewood
then read this where the judge says this affinity fraud where people don't do the due diligence because they trust and he spoke looking directly at the rabbis who were with wienstein
also read about what he tells the supporters who use their connections to bother wardens
he said in shlieders transcript this behavior of being a hero with others people money
Posted by: shlieder wienstein lehrfeld are crooks | December 16, 2014 at 02:14 PM
It ends with an odd statement -- at least to me. (Perhaps one of you can explain this)
Is the judge worried about him being a flight risk ... once already in prison? Is he concerned of a break-out from a Federal Prison? What does he mean by the following ...
THE CLERK: All rise.
THE COURT: One more thing on the flight risk, this occurred to me and it's important to say.
In addition to being physically removed from the east coast, it is my further recommendation specifically that
whatever institution he is designated to not be convenient to any hub city and its airport.
Thank you.

Y - To quote Judge Pisano: "Mr. Weinstein is the one who took their money. Let's not beat around the bush. The money was not provided for the benefit of anybody."
But it was Moshe Lehrfield who gave Weinstein the money, no?
Posted by: heebster | December 16, 2014 at 02:57 PM
What if those emails show a connection between Weinstein and Lehrfield? I'm sure until now, he's been able to hide behind attorney client privilege. Not any longer apparently.

I think that Truth hits it on the head. I have been following this thing intently from its inception. The judge chose his words carefully. I think his comments about the affinity fraud were actually directed towards the victims. Clearly if a guy has $100 million, he has some business acumen. The judge is amazed that someone would suspend that judgment and not conduct even a modicum of due diligence (which may or may not have raised the flags that it was designed to). The last thing the judge wants to do is be reversed on appeal and an ad hominem attack on the frum community could arguably form the predicate for a colorable claim of bias. The judge played this one pretty close to the vest.
For me the money quote came from the US attorney who commented about Weinstein II containing the seeds of Weinstein III - that is a spot on observation since some of the alleged "victims" of the earlier scheme became co-conspirators in Weinstein II. keep that man away from a Blackberry at all costs.
Posted by: ben yomo | December 16, 2014 at 03:05 PM
Agreed, ben yomo. They lost so much money to their attorney on blatantly false theories. They did not, to date, really work on the crooks. They burnt too many bridges with the community -- comprised almost entirely of individuals who are really innocent of their crazy claims -- to really put together an infrastructure.
If they continue on this path, Weinstein -- or their attorney -- will end up with all their money.
Posted by: Y | December 16, 2014 at 04:04 PM
Heebster: How am I supposed to know what Moshe Leherfeld knew or thought? I will not work off the allegations of a Plaintiff which, according to this blog, was dismissed, that's for sure.
The bottom line: Judge Pisano has it right. Weinstein knows where his money is. And he's not paying it back to Chambers. He lies to Chambers repeatedly about this. Those are facts. He has an agenda, perhaps, but they will only be ripped off by him unless they deal with someone who knows how to understand the full picture.
Posted by: Y | December 16, 2014 at 04:08 PM
Does Weinstein have to worry about being near a "hub" in the event that someone would put a hit out, and that would provide for an easy conduit?
Posted by: dh | December 16, 2014 at 05:15 PM
yes y moshe lehrfeld is nothing more than a crook who is a lawyer
it will all come out how abused hios family by losing trust funds under his discretion and how he acted for his father in divorces
and then the coup de grace how he transfered money knowing wiernstein was a con man just for his fees
tick tock tick tock moshe its coming out

DH werent we supposed to speak a while back through failed messiah
and the judge wanting him away from a hub so that in the unlikely chance he could get out of prison he cant leave the country easily to get where he stashed money
thats why he said he is a flight risk and sincew he doesnt care foir his kids legitimate or not he would flee to enjoy his funds
Posted by: get not valid | December 16, 2014 at 07:00 PM

Todd ought to call on his cousin in Miami to defend him -- the "legal fashionista" who says every criminal deserves a defense lawyer and boasts that she has never lost a single case! (Then again there's always a first)

Posted by: Y | March 27, 2015 at 09:26 AM
Get not valid: perhaps y was todd, but one thing is for sure: the other individual you gratuitously mentioned never did anything wrong to them. And likely never did anything wrong in his life. Ever.
I left the Chambers bandwagon specifically because of the way they made up stories about him. Chamber's credibility in this case has been eviscerated to everyone following the case carefully because of their clearly contrived and incredibly dishonest portrayal of a respected, highly ethical, and very distinguished attorney. The fact that they so blatantly lied about someone who did and gave up so much for them only makes them worse.
