The condition of right-wing activist Rabbi Yehuda Glick, who was shot Wednesday night in a terrorist assassination attempt outside an event at the Menachem Begin Heritiage Center in Jerusalem, has reportedly taken a turn for the worse.
Glick was shot in the chest and abdomen. He had extensive emergency surgery late yesterday, and was slated to have another surgery today. He was listed in serious but stable condition after the first surgery.
But Glick’s condition has reportedly been downgraded to critical.
People are asked to pray for Yehuda Yehoshua ben Rivka Ita Breinda to have a full and speedy recovery.
The man who allegedly shot Glick, a Palestinian who is a former Israeli security prisoner, Mu'taz Hijazi, died in a shootout with an anti-terrorism Border Police unit in East Jerusalem early this morning. A second Palestinian who allegedly helped Hijazi carry out the attempted assassination was arrested. Both men were allegedly members of the Islamic Jihad terrorist group.
Glick is a leading activist for complete Jewish control of the Temple Mount, which while the holiest site in the world for Jews, is also holy to Muslims, who control the Mount, where the Al Aqsa mosque is located. Jews have only very limited access to the site.
Israel Police closed the Temple Mount to all Jews, Muslims and tourists immediately after the Glick’s shooting for security reasons.

Shmarya, what is your source that he has taken a turn for the worst? Neither Arutz 7 nor Haaretz report accordingly. Accordingly to Arutz 7 he is slightly improving.

That's what they announced, but in the end the Temple Mount was open for Muslims today.

Avi, you and I were writing at the same time. You posted quicker than I. I was in Jerusalem last night when it happened. And had I known that this conference was taking place at the MBHC, I might have been a witness to this tragic event.

Um, if you click on the link in the post that I provided you, you would have an answer to your question.
Also, just to help you out further, medical conditions of seriously wounded people often change rapidly and frequently – something that should be obvious to both of you but somehow isn't. I just hope the Arutz Sheva report has the more current information, and that Glick is recovering.

When is a goy a plain old "murderer" and not a "terrorist"? This isn't an idle question. When a Negro kills one of my people in America, I would like to call him a "terrorist" and not just a plain old everyday "murderer". It really punches it up, so to speak. Must the goy kill a Jew to be a terrorist? Must the killing be done in Israel, Samaria or Judea? Must the killer be a Muslim (or at least an Arab or Persian)?

One needs to be a paying member of a recognized terrorist group. Period for veteran status varies from 12-18 months depending on the terrorist organization. Defaulted payments can usually be covered within 12 months of lapsed payment, but one has to check the bylaws of the individual terror platform.

We aren't back in the 50's, apparently you are however. Normal people don't use the term you did.

An acquaintance of mine was at the hospital not three hours ago and heard very positive thing from the Glick family. Two hours ago Kikar Hashabat published a release from Shaarei Tzedek that there is an improvement in Glick's condition, b"h.
This is the man known as the "right wing activist" (and whose name is known to every Arab in the region) on the Temple Mount:

Yasher koach, Maskil. Obviously, a Jew who wants equality of access at holy sites for Jews is a right-winger.

He's not just a rabbi, he's an "(evil) RIGHT WING rabbi who somehow brought this upon himself by not being an Obamabot left-wing tool of the oligarchy.
