Video: 4 Jewish Teens Busted For West Bank Hate Crime Arson

Four Jewish teens were allegedly caught on camera fleeing after they set fire to a café in the early morning of August 18 in the West Bank Palestinian village of Dura near Hebron. The teens – all minors who live in the southern West Bank – also allegedly spray painted “Revenge" on the café’s door, Ynet reported.

Israel’s internal security service (popularly known as the Shin Bet or Shabak) and the police are treating the attack as a price tag hate crime.

The attack was apparently meant as a response to an arson, presumably committed by a Palestinian, inside a Jewish West Bank settlement outpost near Beit El the day before.

Yesterday morning, all four suspects, each of whom denies involvement in the crime, were in juvenile court in Jerusalem. Each is being held in custody but could be released on conditions or bail as early as Monday.

The video shows four teens wearing tzitizit (ritual fringes) and masks fleeing through a wadi into a grove of olive trees. Then the teens remove their masks and apparently plan their escape from area.

The lawyer representing some of the teens implied that the teens were being persecuted by police.

"Without addressing a specific case, the police's treatment of juvenile offenses has become more problematic by the day.…if [the teens] are not released this Monday, we will appeal to the High Court of Justice,” the attorney said, alleging that police did not investigate the arson incident inside a West Bank Jewish hilltop outpost that took place the day before the teens’ alleged hate crime and arson attack.

Ah the full flower of Jewish youth. I'd like to tie their payot together and frog-march them into a courtroom. Damn it, Israel is the last bastion of democracy and laws in the middle east, then we have these neanderthals making us look just like the goddamned enemy. Nice work boys, too bad that the foregoing of this post would go right over your heads given the extensive yeshiva education that you have received.
