Video: Terror Attack In Jerusalem

A man driving heavy construction equipment allegedly ran over one person who died shortly afterward from his injuries, tried to ram passing cars and then rammed a bus, flipping it over and injuring the driver (and four others, perhaps pedestrians). There were reportedly no passengers aboard at the time of the attack. The driver, Mohammed Naif Ja'abis of East Jerusalem, was shot and killed. The attack took place in Jerusalem's Shmuel HaNavi neighborhood today during Israel's 7-hour unilateral cease fire in most of Gaza.

CNN is reporting that as the body of the terrorist was taken away by authorities, onlookers – almost all of them haredi – chanted slogans like "Death to all Arabs!"

One would think that security clearance would be required to operate construction equipment around populated areas.

Thank you for spreading this. There are many voices of reason among the Moslems trying to get this message to the public, but we have fanatics suppresisng it. Jews are our brothers, Zionists are our enemies. Jews are attacked because they support our enemies, they carry Isralei flags and chant against our people. Why does this idea of “Zionism” have to be such a cause of war and hatred from the Palestinian people? When a Jew tells you he is a “Zionist” it does not mean that he hates you or wants to steal “your land” or hurt your people. Quite the opposite. He wants to live in peace and cooperation with his Palestinian neighbors – to everybody’s benefit. Most Israelis will even offer you your own State, existing side by side with Israel in peace. Does that sound like we hate the Palestinian people?

Why not respect the Israeli flag instead of hating it and we Jews will respect your flag too. Doesn’t that make more sense than endless war?

You know very well that it was not Israel who began this latest war. Even Hamas will not deny that.

But to ask Jews to remove Mount Zion and Jerusalem as the central part of Judaism is ridiculous. It would be like asking Moslems to continue with their beliefs but to please leave Mohammed out of it. We must discuss realistic solutions to Middle East peace.

It is because the Zionists displaced us from our land by force of arms, threw many out of their homes, and today still occupies illegally much territory. They destroy homes of Palestinians who they say are suspect terrorists even if not convicted but the home of the men who burned our innocent boy alive are not destroyed. I saw the videos of your people saying to kill us all and yes I know not all Zionists believe that but Zionism means to take our land because it's the Jewish homeland. What I do not understand is why you continue to repeat “you occupied us” and “took our land” Before 1948 it was BRITISH land. Before that it was TURKISH land. There was never a Palestinian state for the Zionist Jews to “occupy” but there WAS an independent Jewish state 2,000 years ago. If you really are a “voice of reason” I hope you will at least not deny this fact of history.

We Jews can also say you are “occupying our land” because we ruled it many centuries ago and some Jews always continued to live there since that time.
When you say “The Zionists occupied us” I understand that you mean that Palestinians Arab lived in Palestine for many centuries before 1948. I agree. But the same is true of the Jews. We ALSO lived in Palestine for centuries. We were there in the 19th century. We were there in 18th century etc. just like your people.

We are NOT colonial “occupiers” like the British or Ottoman Turks. We are NATIVES of Palestine just like you. We are called “Jews” because we come from Judea. Please do not put Zionists together with other Colonial powers like Britain or Turkey. We should not be enemies. We should be like brothers because we both have our history and culture in the same place.

As for the other injustices you claim Israel has perpetrated, my answer is “Come to the negotiating table and tell us your grievances. That is the place where these problems can be corrected. Tell Israel what you don’t like and how it can improve.” I promise you Israel will listen, but we want you to listen too and stop calling us “occupiers.”

I was actually referring to Gaza when I said occupation, but suffice it to say that your entire historical narrative is not correct, which is typical of greedy nationalist movements which Zionism is. However, the historical narrative is not our grievance. We allow you to believe whatever you want about your past and your identity. Your people said there will be no peace unless we accept your nationalistic historical narrative that Israel is your nation state. We will accept that Israel is a free land - yours and ours together but your people will not allow that. Gaza has not been "occupied" by Israel since 2005 and before that it was with your Egyptian brothers. At least under Israel there was law and order and your Muslim brothers weren't hanging people in public or dragging their bodies through the streets behind motorcycles. And don't forget, Islam is a religion of war and violence. When you aren't murdering Israelis or other Westerners you are murdering each other. That is what you do. That is the essence of Islam.

Why can't we just get it in our heads,,, well I know for sure that these are not Jews. These peoples have nothing to do with the ancient Hebrews/Israelites nor are they blood related to them.
