Rockets were fired at Israel from Gaza within the past 30 minutes, apparently ending the humanitarian cease fire brokered by Egypt two hours early, CNN and Ha'aretz reported.

Any long term truce or extension of the humanitarian cease fire now seems unlikely.

Update 6:38 pm CDT – The cease fire was extended by five days, but Israel retaliated for the Gaza missile fire anyway, striking several targets in the Gaza Strip.

Peace with the Gazans is simply not possible as their ultimate objective is to destroy Israel. Unfortunately Israel will have to periodically make incusions into Gaza to smash Hamas, their weapons and their military infrastructure.

In the bigger picture, Israel is the front line of Islam's war against the West and civilization itself and the sooner the world realizes that the better.
