Murderer Of Arab Boy Says He Regrets Killing
Yosef Haim Ben-David kidnapped and savagely murdered a 16-year-old Arab boy, burning him alive with the help of two accomplices – one of them a haredi yeshiva student. Ben-David told police he was sorry for the murder because, after all, "we are compassionate Jews, we are human beings."

Ynet has a stunning report on the muder of 16-year-old Arab boy Mohammed Abu Khdeir by three right-wing Jews, including one haredi yeshiva student.
The report is part of a transcript of testimony given by the main suspect, Yosef Haim Ben-David, when being interrogated by the Shin Bet and police.
After going through the truly gruesome details of the murder and contradicting himself by at first admitting the murder was planned and then claiming it was a spur of the moment idea, Ben-David claimed that after it was over and the evidence was burned or destroyed, he and the others felt remorse:
"There was a huge amount of tension and we could not talk because what we had done was not like talking about it, we are Jews, we have a heart," he said. Later, the three discussed how easy it had been to catch Abu Khdeir. "And everyone poured out their heart and regretted what we had done. I told them, but it was a goal, but not for us, we were wrong, we are compassionate Jews, we are human beings."…
When asked if he would like to add something other than his responses to the questions, Ben-David said: "I express regret from the bottom of my heart for the [three Jewish] youths who had been abducted and murdered [by a Hamas terror cell on the West Bank] and Shalhevet Pass [a baby murdered by an Arab terrorist] and the Fogel family [murdered by an Arab terrorist], and I express my sorrow and regret for what I did to the youth Abu Khdeir…and I express regret to the family of the boy, and I hope that God will forgive me."
But if you read the entire transcript excerpt posted on Ynet you can see it is likely Ben-David's remorse is contrived. And even if it isn't, the details of the murder are so gruesome, any remorse really wouldn't matter.
For example, this:
"We planned to hurt him, that means kill…torture him and kill him." When asked what he meant by "torture", he replied: "So the victim would know that he was going to die as a sacrifice for the murdered Jews."
And this:
"I touched the boy's leg and it was cold, at this point his eyes were open and he was unconscious…I did not see the boy's face, I was nervous and frustrated, I pulled the boy by his hoodie and he fell onto the floor. I was shaking that he would rise up against me, I said, 'Where is the crowbar, where is the crowbar', I can't remember if someone gave it to me or I took it myself…then I hit the boy on the head with the crowbar as I said, 'this is for the Fogel family and this is for Shalhevet Pass', and the blood began to flow."
After beating Abu Khdeir unconscious with blows to the head, Ben-David ordered one of the minors to bring the fuel, the second minor preferred to stay in the car and not take part.
"He started to pour gasoline on the boy's head and then gave me the bottle and I continued to pour gasoline on to his legs. In the end, we poured the whole bottle."
Before setting fire to Abu Khdeir, who, according to the pathological report was burnt alive, Ben-David kicked him. According to his testimony: "I gave the boy three kicks to the legs, and saying as I did 'This is for Eyal, and this is for Naftali, and this is for Gil-Ad'." Ben-David continued: "I took a lighter, I set the boy alight."
What did Ben-David and his two accomplices do after killing Abu Khdeir and burning as much evidence as they could?
They delivered a pair of eyeglasses to a customer of Ben-David's and went to his house to play guitar.
The day before, Ben-David and one of the other suspects tried to kidnap a seven-year-old Arab boy. In the process, they punched the boy's mother in the nose and kicked another of her children.
"We said she won't bring any more children into the world, so we decided to beat her up. She was wearing a head covering…He grabbed the boy in a stranglehold…and kicked the other boy so he would run away…I saw he punched her in the nose…she flew to the ground and screamed," Ben-David said.
The two fled the scene, the youth returned to the yeshiva where he was studying and Ben-David returned home.…
I wonder what "the boys" were learning in yeshiva.

Exactly lol.
Sounds like some sort of pagan burnt offering they were doing.

Of course he regrets it. He had thought that he would be treated like a hero.

Richard Silverstein says Mohamed Abu Khdeir was forced to drink the gasoline as well:
Abu Khdeir, Murdered Palestinian Boy Was Forced to Drink Gasoline, Then Burned to Death

This con artist's sorrow will only sound sincere when a hangman is putting the noose around his neck. No sympathy. The invocation of the three teens, Fogel, etc., is nothing more than an appeal to Racist sentiment - justification for an exceptionally cruel sadistic murder. Ben-David forfeited his right to life. Anything other than a death penalty is an injustice. Btw, has house family's home been bulldozed yet?

I could not read after the first few lines. It is just too heinous. I find it impossible to believe that human beings are capable of doing such things to each other.
This man is not a man, and he is more than a disgrace.
Where is his rabbi now?
