Ten suspects, three of them minors, will be indicted tomorrow for the July 25 savage unprovoked beating of two 20-year-old Palestinian men, Amir Shweiki and Samer Mahfouz, in Jerusalem, Ha’aretz reported.

Shweiki and Mahfouz, both 20 from Beit Hanina, were in northern Jerusalem the area between the Arab neighborhood of Beit Hanina and the Jewish neighborhood of Neveh Ya’akov when they were attacked by a Jewish mob who severely beat both men with iron bars and baseball bats.

Shweiki was so seriously injured, he is still reportedly hospitalized in the neurosurgery department at Hadassah University Hospital, Ein Karem.

Mahfouz was less seriously injured and was released from Hadassah, only to be readmitted last week after his condition reportedly took a turn for the worse.

“A man came from the direction of Neveh Ya’akov. He said, ‘Give me a cigarette.’ I told him I don’t have any, and he heard [from my accent that] I’m Arab and [he] went away, coming back with his friends, maybe 12 people. They had sticks and iron bars and they started hitting us hard over the head,” Mahfouz told Haaretz not long after the attack.

The ten suspects are likely to be charged with a hate crime. Other arrests are expected, police reportedly said.

There have been many attacks by Jewish mobs against Palestinians in Jerusalem since the bodies of three Jewish teens kidnapped by a Hamas terror cell were found near Hebron in early July.

Arab taxi drivers have been beaten or sprayed with tear gas, Arab passengers on the city’s light rail have been harassed and assaulted, and Arabs walking in downtown Jerusalem have been assaulted. And 16-year-old Mohammed Abu Khdeir was kidnapped and burned alive by three right-wing Jews, at least one of them a haredi yeshiva student.

If these perps get off without decades of prison time then we'll know for sure that Israeli justice is blind when it comes to viciousness by Jews on Arabs and the antisemites throughout the world will have new and effective material to use against Israel.

I didnt know any of that was going on.

But see the other shoe. These people often refuse to learn hebrew as a first language and dont have to join malitary. Think about it. You go from highschool to service and you see Muslims going off and having kids and ejoying benefits while you are made to serve to protect the country from terrorist that they morally support.

Then they want to protest and wreck the city. So people reach a breaking point. The hate runs deep. Show me another country on earth where this living situation is similar.

I don't condone this type of behavior. At the same time, the article makes it seem that it's a common occurrence, which it isn't. What is much more common, is Arabs attacking Jews, but a rag like HaAretz wouldn't want to report much of that.

It is actually currently in Israel much more common for groups of Jewish thugs to beat up Arabs and spray anti-Arab graffiti than for groups of Arab thugs in Israel to beat up Jews and spray anti-Jewish graffiti.

I wish that weren't the case, and that no one would be committing hate crime and that there would be less violence, but you have to face the facts.

Seraphya: That is not the case. When a Jew does something wrong, that makes headlines. Most things the Arabs do, you never hear about.

Even when Arab attacks become known, it is either downplayed or simply accepted that this is their behaviors. It's too common an occurrence.

When Jews do something like that, it's a shock, so you will hear about it.

Like in the U.S., when a White attacks a Black, it's news, but when a Black attacks a White, they mostly leave off the race of the attacker.
