Breaking: 13 IDF Soldiers Killed In Gaza Overnight

13 IDF soldiers were killed in Gaza overnight overnight.

 

13 Israeli soldiers were killed Saturday night and early Sunday in several incidents in Gaza, Ha'aretz reported.

18 IDF soldiers have died in less than two days.

CNN says the 13 were killed in one ambush and 12 others were wounded. All soldiers were apparently from the elite Golani Brigade.

I'll post details when they come in.

Update 4:00 pm CDT – Ha'aretz is now reporting that the names of five of the 13 Givati soldiers killed overnight are Tsafrir Bar-Or,32, from Holon, Oz Mendelovich, 21, from Atzmon, Zvika Kaplan, 28, from Merav, Sean Carmeli, 21, from Raanana and Gilad Yaakobi, 21, from Kiryat Ono.

The incident in which seven soldiers were killed took place shortly after 1 a.m. Sunday, IDF sources said.

Two more soldiers were killed in exchanges of gunfire with Hamas 20 and 30 minutes later.

Three more soldiers were killed when an anti-tank missile was fired into a building in which they were setting up a command post.

The 13th fatality was still being investigated by the IDF late Sunday."

This is what happens when you go into war and try to be super careful of 'civilian' casualties. Simply announce the closure of certain areas and then carpet bomb the entire area BEFORE foot soldiers go in. There are no civilians in Gaza. They ELECTED Hamas by a huge margin. Israel needs Menachem Begin and/or Golda Meir back. Bibi is too much of a PR guy. Stop running this war from the news rooms!

Thanks for explaining the 13 number. I knew i would find it here. I thought about the 13 principles of Judaism at first and took it as a sign that they are destroying Judaism. The 13 number is very coincidental given the circumstances.

Anyhow, I maintaine the Israeli soldiers are not very good (compared to Germany, US, Russia) and the army is not very capable (when looking at it's war of mistakes and retreats).

It's time to do the right thing. Empty the Elderly, women and children out of Gaza, then process each male in holding. Then send in troops in the thousands to comb through the whole gaza strip and empty it. Arest all remaining hostiles. The World will force Egypt to take the refugees and they can finally be exiled out of Israel.

If this doesnt happen, word on the street is that Gaza is going to go Rogue and declare a soverign country. The UN is VERY pro Palistine and anti Israel.
