Israel: No Soldier Captured By Hamas
Ha'aretz reports that claims that an IDF soldier was captured by Hamas are false.
"There's no kidnapped Israeli soldier and those rumors are untrue," Israel's UN Ambassador Ron Prosor told reporters in New York tonight.
Good news. Plus I would have hated for Israel to later have to release 1000 terrorists from jail in exchange for the kidnapped soldier.

Uh... Now they're not so sure whether he's captured or not... They're "investigating".

As RW said, they're no longer denying it. Why would hamas make a claim including his name and tag number that could be disproven so easily? Israel also said at one time that he was among those killed. One possibility is that the soldier was killed but hamas took the body.

Army just announced that they indeed cannot account for the body of Oron Shaul, the soldier claimed to be in Hamas custody.
