The initial IDF investigation into the death last night of 20-year-old Eitan Barak has found that Barak was killed by friendly fire from an Israeli tank, Ha'aretz reported.
The IDF reportedly believes that a tank from another brigade fired the round at the Nahal Brigade, where Barak was a commander.
The accident reportedly took place in the northern Gaza Strip.

I never liked the term "friendly fire". Having been under friendly fire I can assure you that there is nothing friendly about it and if I ever find the son-of-a-bitch who fired that error, even after all these years, I'll beat the shit out of him with my cane.
A better term is "fratricide"
