A 27-year old Israeli, Itamar Avnon, was among the 298 passengers and crew killed on Malaysian Air Flight 17, the Jerusalem Post reported based on a report in the Israeli online daily newspaper Ma’ariv. The plane exploded in midair over eastern Ukraine near the border with Russia after it was apparently struck by a truck-launched surface-to-air-missile fired by pro-Russian separatists.
Friends and family reportedly gathered at the Avnon home in Kiryat Tivon this morning.
The family is still waiting for official notification of Itamar’s death.
"Airplanes that take off are also supposed to land but this this time it didn't help Itamar. He was with us for 27 years and now remains only memories," Dov Avnon, Itamar’s father concluded.
Was he Habad? was he Haredi? If so, who cares, right? You rabid anti semite.
Scott are you Jewish?

What the heck was that psychotic foaming-at- the-mouth diatribe from "Saul" about?
298 innocent people were killed. Let's mourn their loss with the rest of the world community instead of spitting hateful invective.

Saul that's okay..Scott has made more people "think", and has done more for "religion" per se than he knows..he's a mitzvah..one needs him to be here..so we can say "this is the way it is"? And this is what we don't want to be like. And what is the explanation "there is none"..as we are not capable of knowing such things... And strive not to be like. As I've heard it elsewhere also. He's why people become "religious". He needs to be here.

Where ever there is light there is always darkness...needs to be that way. Leave him alone. He also has the opportunity to change.

RabbiEML - One just hopes that the frummers have the decency not to interfere with his funeral because his mother is a Dutch Christian whilst his father is a Messianic Jew.
He chose to serve in elite forces whilst the Hareidim refuse to serve in any capacity.

Actually, his father converted to Evangelical Christianity, and he was flying to some missionary work in Asia.

Why bother writing about a day camp? All your other subjects are more substantial.
