Video: Hundreds Of Haredim Burn Finance Minister In Effigy In Lag Ba'Omer Bonfire

Hundreds of haredim burned a large effigy of Finance Minister Yair Lapid in a Lag Ba'Omer bonfire in Tiberias near the Sea of Galilee today, causing widespread condemnation and anger among non-haredi Israelis. Here is video:

As you can see, this was a prepared, planned act that is being considered incitement to murder by many.

You can also see that few, if any, of the participants are members of the extremist haredi group Neturei Karta, despite claims from some that only Netirei Karta was involved in the burning:

I am concerned that they will encourage one in their number to take the life of a government official. Secular Israel will then act. I do not think that they operate in the real world, but that real world will come knocking at the door if they succeed in bringing this about. I believe that they are under the impression that Hashem will stand with them. I believe that there will be a rapid change in government. I believe that there will be draconian laws put in place that will effectively end their way of life. I believe that their gedolim will pay massively. They should be aware that the civil war that they are now promoting will lead to their end.
