The person arrested – "R" – is allegedly in federal custody Trenton, NJ awaiting arraignment.

I'll post more information when I get it.

Update 5:00 pm CDT – I still don't have enough confirmation to publish his name, but I'm told there are a lot of criminal charges and that his bail was set at $500,000.

Update 5:52 pm CDT – Chaim Boruch Rubin (the "R" mentioned above) and David Aryeh Epstein, a son of Rabbi Mendel Epstein (who was arrested late last year for get extortion and kidnapping) were arrested today on kidnapping and extortion charges. Both are facing possible life in prison and have each been released on $500,000 bond.

But OTOH charedim make good use of all the liberal govt. programs, benefit greatly from the openness and diversity of the left,which is why they set up shop in blue states where they'll be safe. They consider themselves RW conservatives and yet most hate israel.
And 3 of my kids, who are all very liberal are active in their universities as defenders of Israel. The frequent opponent of israel is Students for justice for palestine which consists of mostly muslim students, many of whom wear islamic garb and are ultra-conservative.
