Police Raid Haredi Cult’s Compound

Police blocked the entrances to the area as immigration authorities went door to door searching for seven Lev Tahor members who are reportedly illegally in the country. Several Lev Tahor adults were arrested and an unknown number of Lev Tahor children are now in protective custody.

Canadian police and immigration authorities raided the haredi Lev Tahor cult’s compound in rural Ontario today, Canadian journalist Ashton Patis reported.

Police blocked the entrances to the area as immigration authorities went door to door searching for seven Lev Tahor members who are reportedly illegally in the country.

Reports vary, but at least Lev Tahor adults may have been detained and 19 children are in protective custody because their parents have apparently been arrested.

Interesting. From all accounts Helbrans, who lied to Canada's Refugee Board to stay in the country, was not among those arrested. From the Canadian media outlets, it seems that about 7 people were arrested, with Israeli and US citizenship. It seems that their visas were no longer valid, but undoubtedly there's more to it. About 20 kids are in protective custody, but I suspect a few might be turned over to Lev Tahor parents--maybe not.

Canadian law enforcement seems to have grown a pair. Good for them. 19 kids is about 10% of their entire population. Probably they should take their mothers with them - it's the men who are the problem.

Nothing will happen, they'll scream anti-semitism, violations of their religious freedoms, etc, and the human rights commission will side with them. Helbrans is a convicted criminal and even after all this, he'll get to stay in canada, maybe get compensation too for all the "trauma" brought on by the police...
I am embarassed to live in a country where we keep the trash, but toss out the treasures (ie good people)
