Haredi British Alleged Pedophile Tries To Flee To Gambia

In prison in Israel and fighting extradition to Britain, alleged haredi pedophile Todros Grynhaus tried to escape the law by running to Gambia with the help of his lawyers. Grynhaus' father is a senior dayan (rabbinic judge) on the Union of Orthodox Hebrew Congregations beit din (religious court) and is responsible for its Kedassia kosher supervision.

It costs about $12,000 to obtain Gambian residency however you still need a valid passport to enter the Gambia or leave Israel. Grynhaus cannot travel anywhere without his British passport which the UK authoritiez have seized. He has entered Israel illegally and can only be deported back from where he came. He has been denied Israeli citizenship so cannot travel on an Israeli passport.
