A hasidic teacher – allegedly from a Sqvere school – hits a young child across the face and head. This not a love tap – it is a very, very hard slap.

Listen to what is being said -- the rebbe orders him: "Heib oif dein hent du" And the kid reluctantly but immediately follows his orders and then immediately gets the shock of his life -- WHAM! You hear the whack on his ear/head and wonder if it broke his eardrum as he coils into the corner in pain. And then they wonder why the kid grows up and doesnt want to have anything to do with them. Not enough its corporal punishment. But the humiliation in front of all the classmates who are looking on and terrified they may be next.

Do you really think the phone was pulled out immediately, or do you think this was going on for some time already and then the phone was pulled out. And don't think there wont be a calculation made of who was sitting in that position to be recording -- and he will pay a dear price.

That rebbe is sick. A murderer of souls of innocence. He needs a Rabbi Epstein treatment.

The administration will only do something about it when it will cost them deep in their pockets or the high holy grand rebbe is about to sit in jail himself. (Then they'll FORCE the rebbe to admit to guilt, and do the prison time instead.)

Hopefully, the family will remove the boy from this situation, sue and in the meantime home school him, because no other New Square yeshiva will accept him if they contact authorities. Very sad that the family will be ostracized and possibly have their house burned down.

This has got to stop!! This is heart-breaking and so damaging. Then we wonder why the kinder stray. I say send this to the DA. At least there is evidence this time so the parents don't have to worry about being pressured, unlike that Gestetner termed "slap happy" incident at UTA in Spring Valley a few years back. The DA will have no excuse not to react to child endangerment.

Wigmore--I went to torath emes in 1961 for about 2 months i remeber them well the kids used to talk about wold bending a quarter with his finfers i even saw him once hitting a kid i was a new commer in this country he never ever touched me so i never had any bad experience with him but one of the rebbi teachers gave me a slap because i could not write in hebrew scripts since i came from a communist country and did not learn how to write well after the slap he had a change of heart he saw me crying and asked forgivness from me he got scared,i can tell you in europw in heder from our satmerer rabbi we got much moch wrose beating and humiliation,i had to contend with him and also some beatings in the publich school we went since there were no yeshivas there on a small heder in the town ,i will never ever forget my uncle who came here to usa in 1950 mothers brother he told if ever my rebbi hits me here in usa you go right away to the police it is exactly what he told me.

It's similar in equivalent non-Jewish sects. I've cited the book by the Pearls, devout fundamentalist Christians, titled "Training Up A Child" which advises beating children randomly to make them suitably submissive. I lived trough this myself,can you beleive my rebbi lives near me here in brooklyn my childhood rebbi from europe who used to torture us he is 90 or so years old would like to punch him out but hold myself back havent seen him in over a decade even though he lives about 10 blocks from me and he was my rebbi in heder for over 6 years everyday.

I'm glad you were there for only two months. Sadly, I was there for many more years.

Wolf was a sadist and a child abuser. (You can abuse children in ways other than sexual.) Schwartz was unquestionably a SHPOS and Wolf's enabler and apologist. In his own right, however, he too, smacked around defenseless children and humiliated and embarrassed many.

There was a hall monitor who carried a stick and if a teacher would send out a child from the room for misbehaving, he was quick to smack the crap out of the kid. I would always have to tell the monitor to please not hit the kid when I would send him out. I couldn't handle that. Left after a few months.
