The vehemently anti-Zionist Neturei Karta group demonstrates against Israel and AIPAC in Washington, DC.

When I saw these pictures of Neturei Karta's anti-Israel demonstration held outside the AIPAC meeting in Washington, DC earlier this week, the arrogance and ahistoricity of the haredi anti-Zionist group had never been clearer to me.

The early rabbis who supported the Zionist movement were Orthodox and learned, and many were arguably far greater than any of the rabbis Neturei Karta grew out of.

But the haredi world doesn't know history, it only knows fairy tales and hagiography. And from that self-imposed haredi ignorance that produces tens of thousands of men who believe they are entitled not to work, not to serve in the army and not to participate in wider society while expecting that wider society to fund them and support them comes its natural extreme – Neturei Karta.

You have be a certain type of sick, a certain type of crazy, a certain type of arrogant ignoramus to believe that every rabbi who opposes you is not "authentic."

No, it is incumbent on those of us that support the state of Israel to appeal to the rabbinic authorities to de-legitimize NK. All rabbinic authorities must recognise the danger that this twisted cult represents to the ongoing survival of the Jewish state. You conveniently forget the studies that have been discovered not too long ago that did not quite coincide with Climate Changes findings. Of course they were never heard since there is an agenda...
