Video: Lev Tahor Haredi Cult Leader Compares Group's Flight From Quebec To Expulsion Of Jews From Spain
In a newly released video filmed as Lev Tahor was fleeing Quebec, Lev Tahor's leader, convicted kidnapper Rabbi Shlomo Helbrans (pictured at right), compares his cult's fight to escape legal action that would have removed 14 abused minors from Lev Tahor homes to the Jews being expelled from Spain in 1492.
The Jews didn't leave Spain because they were afraid the King of Spain would remove their children from their homes because they'd been raping them, marrying them off just at puberty or before or physically and emotionally abusing them in other ways.
Another cult leader with a persecution complex and delusions of grandeur. Take off the black garb and the tzitzit and put some Temple garments on them and they could stand in for those Mormon fanatics down on the Utah-Colorado border who act similarly towards their families.

Jim Jones reincarnated. I won't be at all surprised at the news that Helbrans (may his name soon be forgotten in Israel) will portray his cult as martyrs... (ie: the legend of the Israelitish children being carried off to become sex slaves in Babylonia), the Lev Tahor group "throws themselves overboard" to avoid being corrupted by the evil Canadians.

This sicko should be in jail.
If he wants to waste and ruin his own life, by all means - I would even help him. But he's ruining other peoples lives with his lies and physical abuse.
He should be in a psychiatric ward. Handcuffed to a bed in a padded cell.
His actions are beyond sane and I hope he gets what's coming to him.
All on the name of religion - despicable.
What religion ?? A monkey - joke religion he's making up on the go

The children should never be returned. This is mental abuse. There will be only one outcome, this mental case with delusions of godhood will order a mass suicide. Authorities would be well advised to arrest him at the earliest opportunity.

Did anyone watch the video?
It is very interesting. Sounds like a typical Chareidi speech. Nothing there is particularly out of the ordinary. Nothing about it is different or screams out that this guy is an evil, maniac cult leader.
He speaks very emotionally which likely tugs on the heartstrings of his followers and those who do not follow him but are duped to materially support him.
The persecution complex he projects is no different than any other Chareidi persecution complex. And quite frankly, it's not strange for Jews to have persecution complexes knowing what our parents and grandparents went through not too long ago.
I find it interesting that some of these cult leaders who are abusive and demented can come across no differently than any other Chareidi, and that from the outside look of it you would never know what evil goes on there behind closed doors.
