A photo was posted on the Internet yesterday showing Finance Minister Yair Lapid and Economy, Trade, Diaspora and Religious Services Minister Naftali Bennett dressed as Nazis, Israel HaYom reported.
The photo was posted in groups on WhatsApp and Facebook as a haredi response to the proposed universal draft bill that would draft some haredim and criminally charge any haredim who dodge the draft.
Lapid and Bennett are reportedly shown dressed as Nazi officers standing under the gate to the Auschwitz burning Torahs and the Talmud while haredi yeshiva students dressed in Auschwitz prisoner uniforms are studying in the background.
The photo was condemned by secular and Zionist Orthodox Jews, including political leaders.
Haredi leaders, however, have not yet condemned the photo-cartoon.

A bit overboard.They should just show a picture of burning Torahs by Lipman,Bennett and Lapid without them dressed as Nazis.

They so denegrate the memory of our ancestors who perished in the camps. To compare being asked to defend your country to genocide is just a small indication of disgusting , and twisted, and non jewish these people are.

Yair Lapid'd father Tomi Lapid זצ'ל was a real holocaust survivor, the grandfather died in Mauthausen-Gusen concentration camp. Yair's father and grandmother were saved by Raul Valenberg

A phony holocaust survivor is rebbitzen Esther Jungreis who got out of Hungary by the Kastner train and spend the war in a pension in Switzerland but she markets herself as holocaust survivor.

In reality it is the Charedim that are burning the Torah because they ignore the important parts of it, make up others, and generally bring disgrace and shame upon the Jewish people.
Could we even count a Charedi as part of a minyan?

Personally I think your comment is disgusting. First of all, she lived in Hungary when the holocaust came and she survived. The fact she survived via the Kastner train, doesn't mean she is not a survivor. Secondly, she was rounded up like all the other Jews and spent time on a cattle car before being saved. Just because she didn't suffer nearly as much as others doesn't mean she didn't survive the holocaust in her own way. Lastly, she spent the war in Hungary, the kastner train was saved in late 1944, at the end of the war. Why you feel the need to question her on this is beyond me?
