Supermarket chain owner Rami Levi is under attack by a right wing racist group for hiring too many Arabs, Yeshiva World reported.

Levi is known as a philanthropist who aids many charities, including many haredi charities.

But in two of his stores in the West Bank, especially the one in the heavily haredi Betar Illit, Levi employs many Arabs, and that angers right wing Jews – including haredim – who say the Arabs, primarily men, cause Jewish women to stray. The Arabs allegedly seduce the Jewish women and girls and cause them to intermarry.

So Lehava, the right wing racist anti-Arab group headed by Bentzion Gopstein, a follower of the late radical Rabbi Meir Kahane, organized protests to try to force Rami Levy (and other supermarket chains) to fire their Arab workers.

Lehava reportedly called the protest an “opening shot” in their campaign to force out all non-Jewish workers from these supermarkets.

Many haredim reportedly joined Lehava in the protest and for a conference on preventing “assimilation” that preceded it.

You know, if the words "reportedly" and "allegedly" were made illegal to use, you'd have almost nothing to post.

All due respect Mr Gopstein, but orthodox women do not intermarry or cheat because they are seduced. They do so because orthodox Jewish men are frankly REPULSIVE.

I have been in relationships with women who were formerly Ultra Orthodox. They came from broken marriages or shidduchim that were forced upon them. The stories related seemed all to have one theme in common: The women would not allow anyone who was physically and mentally repulsive to touch them. The men without fail washed once a week in mikvah. The men did not understand that a woman needs tenderness, and the men were programmed to think that the woman must submit without being sexulally aroused. One girl related that her husband called her a slut for becoming lubricated. The men had never heard of oral sex, or if they did, it was something that a prostitute had performed on them. Sexual pleasure for the woman was a non-issue, just did not happen. Absent personal hygiene and lack of any tenderness short of thinking of their rebbes while impaling their partner for several seconds and causing pain instead of pleasure was reason enough to leave orthodoxy. That and being saddled with multitudinous children for no other reason than the husbands competing with each other to see who could breed the greatest number. So therefore, Mr Gopstein, shave the ugly beard, wash occasionally, and learn to pleasure your woman, else you and your kind will find that your right hand is your wife and your left is the mistress, but I bet the koutoubah cannot list the bride as "Handy Palm and her five sisters"

These chareidim hate Arabs, yet won't defend the country against Arabs. Some nice Arab guy working in a store is not the problem. They are fellow humans, and need to make a living, too. It's the violent jihadis who are the threat. Treating normal Arabs the same way will only radicalize them in turn.

thats a good question. i think FTMP they arent trained to ever consider the "other side" of their own arguments. and those that do would say that it doesnt matter since THEY know and fulfill hashems desires and the "others" are only here to benefit the charedim. they see no hypocrisy in discriminating against everyone else while at the same time screaming "anti-semitism" and suing when the very same is done to them.

The notion being put forth by the haredim and the far right is not just that Jewish women must be "protected" from Arab men. The obsession that the far right has with keeping Jewish women from dating or marrying outside the community boils down to the notion that a Jewish woman's body belongs not to her but to the community. And I find that notion really creepy.

I think Rami Levy is a hero for promoting peaceful coexistence and cooperation between Jews and Arabs.

The Palestinians are hired there like the Mexicans here, because they are cheaper. As for them showering more than the Jews, I highly doubt that. Actually, most of the cases of Jewish women landing up with them are not in the West Bank. There have been 50 cases of women from Ultra orthodox neighborhoods, and from Sephardic girls raised in bad environments. The truth is that many of these women later regret their choice, because they are taken to Arab villages, often beaten and forced to convert. These women are usually happy to have escaped with their lives.
