Congregation Demands Israel's Chief Rabbis Release The Names Of The American Rabbis Who Smeared Rabbi Avi Weiss
“…For the Chief Rabbinate to reach this conclusion based upon the undisclosed allegations of a few unnamed rabbis and without citation to any traditional halachic authority suggests a political rather than religious basis for this decision. We ask that you name those who have questioned Rabbi Weiss’s Orthodoxy and provide citations to the applicable sections of the Shulchan Aruch to support your claim that Rabbi Weiss’s halachic opinions “cast doubt on the level of his commitment to the customary and acceptable Jewish halacha.” We also ask the Chief Rabbinate to share with us the clear and objective criteria by which it determined from which Rabbis it would accept letters when evaluating personal status issues.…”
As a Conservative Jew, I find this absolutely hilarious.

Let them eat each other up. Internecine squabbles are usually good for a laugh to others.

If there is anyone who should contemplate a "BDS" program against Israel it should be the non-haredi Jews of the diaspora.
If non-haredi leaders made a serious threat to withdraw support for Israel, Israeli institutions and pro-Israel lobbying groups unless the taliban-jews are reigned in, Bibi would act.
Without such a threat Bibi would rather appease the haredi to support his political position (Especially when others in his coalition are agitating the haredim regarding the draft etc).
The Weiss thing alone won't bring this about but that's just a minor result of the haredi takeover in Israel.

PS support for direct military aid should not be threatened.
