No, Jeff. As a historical event it's ridiculous. But as an allegory or whatever I guess it makes sense. We can probably take anything said or written and explain how it makes sense. We are very good at that (as long as there is no confinement to literal interpretation).

I don't know how you feel about that posted comment, Shmarya, but personally I found it disturbing, offensive, and bordering on incitement.
Don't you think, johnnytest, that people should be very hesitant to threaten others on behalf of God? What is the meaning of "I urge you only once"? Are you suggesting that you have decided to become the agent of God's punishment? Cause that's what it looks like to me. I hope SR finds out who you are and reports you to police.
