As much as I like the "Smilin and Wavin'" MannyMendy S rebbe figure, I think for Nittel they need to have a more solemn presentation.
Perhaps the three foreign magi bearing gifts - The Misnagdisher, The Sfard, and the Renewal rabbis - all coming around the hovel where he was born.

so sacrilegious ...i love it.
if this was done using mohammed there would be dead bodies all over the world.

I think this should be saved as I'm sure Chabad will complain to YouTube that it is blasphemous and it will be pulled.

Shmarya I promise you will burn for posting this. Not only will you burn but your life is going to get very ugly (uglier than it already is and in an altogether different way). I know someone who did something like this once by dressing up. May he rest in peace. I urge you only once to take this down and atone. Otherwise, Divine wrath can be a very scary thing. You have been warned.

To Jonnytest.
may it happen today before Shabbos in the holy land.
Posted by: put a square into a hole | December 20, 2013 at 02:44 AM
Jonnytest/put a square peg...... What happens if there isn't divine wrath by shabbos today in the holy land? Can we then assume god thinks it's funny too?

"Jonnytest/put a square peg...... What happens if there isn't divine wrath by shabbos today in the holy land? Can we then assume god thinks it's funny too?"
Or that God doesn't exist?
Why is it that frummies and evangelicals are always so quick to interpret disaster as God's wrath, but when they predict disaster and it doesn't occur, they're dead silent?
Here, I'll make a prediction. I predict not one of the frum trolls will have the testicular fortitude to answer that honestly.

Meanwhile, this isn't sacrilegious enough for my taste. If it had been a photo of the nativity with MM's face on baby Jesus' body - THAT would have been amusing (and so in keeping with what they believe).
Posted by: Jeff | December 20, 2013 at 07:26 AM
Jeff,
"that God doesn't exist" - LOL, that doesn't make any sense.
Posted by: Maskil | December 20, 2013 at 07:58 AM
Uh huh - but the idea that our ancestors got kicked out of a garden for listening to a talking snake - THAT makes sense.
Posted by: Jeff | December 20, 2013 at 08:34 AM
God becomes extremely angry if you make bubbles on Shabbos.

The Lubavitcher Rebbe must be rolling over in his grave over this video (and how it's portrayed as an elf). Not funny at all.
Posted by: Rafi Hecht | December 20, 2013 at 10:24 AM
Not to worry; he isn't really in the grave. He's roaming the halls at 770!
Posted by: Jeff | December 20, 2013 at 11:12 AM
No, Jeff. As a historical event it's ridiculous. But as an allegory or whatever I guess it makes sense. We can probably take anything said or written and explain how it makes sense. We are very good at that (as long as there is no confinement to literal interpretation).

I don't know how you feel about that posted comment, Shmarya, but personally I found it disturbing, offensive, and bordering on incitement.
Don't you think, johnnytest, that people should be very hesitant to threaten others on behalf of God? What is the meaning of "I urge you only once"? Are you suggesting that you have decided to become the agent of God's punishment? Cause that's what it looks like to me. I hope SR finds out who you are and reports you to police.

People like jonnytest love the drama. They get off on saying things like this. It makes them feel important. If he could have included ominous music, he would have.
