Notorious Haredi Child Rapist Loses Second Appeal

Rabbi Israel "Yisroel" Weingarten

Rabbi Israel "Yisroel" Weingarten, convicted of raping his daughter from the time she was a young girl until she finally broke away from him as an older teen, lost his appeal of his second sentencing and his appeal of his conviction.

The decision was handed down on April 16 but received no publicity.

Weingarten was loosely affiliated with the Satmar hasidic sect. He also was close to Rabbi Leib Tropper of conversion thuggery and sex scandal infamy and still has the support of leading Monsey-area rabbis, including Moshe Green, who fundraise for him.

Weingarten is serving a 30-year prison term in a federal prison in Virginia. His release date is November 24, 2034. Weingarten is 63-years-old.

I know the frumma ignore goyishe law which prohibits sleeping with or raping your children but in this case that happens to correspond with Toyreh Law so how, after a lifetime of "learning" can he commit such an atrocity?

It's not really surprising that this animal is associated with Satmar. The problem of father-daughter incest is very common in societies that devalue women and girls. I have a Korean friend who told me that this problem was prevalent among old line Koreans as well. He blames the concept that daughters were not really part of their birth families, but rather "owned" by their husband's family. I think the Satmar and other similar groups think the same way about their daughters - they are simply liabilities to be used and disposed of as soon as possible. I am reasonably sure that this guy does not think of his daughter as fully human at all.

Since sex abuse appears prevalent in orthodox communities(the more to the right, the more abuse), is it a learned or genetic behavior?

Of course, there is an obvious reason for the prevalence of incest. Men want to have sex. The tznius rules prevent them from having the opportunity with non-related women, but don't deny them access to female family members.

If Satmar men could establish normal relationships with women, the rate of incest would probably decrease.

Not literally. There is no torah prohibition against ones own daughter. that was added later by rabbis who no doubt realized just how awful an omission this was, so its only a rabbinic prohibition.

Anyone who commits incest has sexual relations with his daughter should be skinned alive slowly he needs to die no ifs or buts about it is unfathomable to think that a toreh learned person can commit such an evil thing.
