Two board members of the iconic Bialystoker Synagogue on Manhattan’s Lower East Side are suing the board’s president, Manhattan Supreme Court Justice Shlomo Hagler, over the sale of an L-shaped lot adjoining the Orthodox synagogue that has been owned by the congregation since 1987, the New York Post reported.
Baruch Singer and Lenny Greher reportedly say that Hagler; the Bialystoker’s rabbi, Zvi Romm; and the chairman of its housing fund are prohibited by an April 2012 beit din (Orthodox Jewish rabbinical court) ruling from selling the property.
The suit also reportedly follows the sale by the synagogue of a 127-unit affordable-housing building in January for $28 million.
Among the congregation’s notable members are Speaker of the New York State Assembly Sheldon Silver and indicted former Metropolitan Council on Jewish Poverty CEO William E. Rapfogel.

Sale of an affordable housing unit....Rapfogel was on the cover of Mishpacha magazine claiming that he & his cronies are buying housing for assisted living in which he will be a 50 % partner. If Rapfogel/Silver are involved in any business you know it's marked with theft and stench.

Looks like there is a faaling out among thieves now that the poverty money has dried up.
Wonder what Uncle Dovid has to say about all of this.
