Convicted sex abuser Jeremy “Yakov” Kramer, who pleaded guilty to a series of sexual assaults against a child and who had also been accused of molesting an elderly hospital patient, has died suddenly in custody.

Convicted sex abuser Jeremy “Yakov” Kramer died suddenly in custody, the Rockland County Times exclusively reported. Kramer was 33-years-old.

Kramer entered the infirmary of the Woodbourne Correctional Facility on September 1 complaining of feeling ill. He collapsed and was rushed to a local hospital where he died that evening.

Kramer pleaded guilty in Rockland County to one course of sexual conduct against a child and was sentenced to six years in prison. His conditional release date was May 10, 2017. The sentence maximum was 6 years with a release date of March 22, 2018.

Kramer was previously accused of molesting an elderly patient in Columbian Presbyterian Hospital in New York City in 2008. Kramer allegedly asked the victim if he was Jewish seconds before molesting him.

[The Rockland County Times now reports that there are two men with the same name, one who abused the child and who died September 1, and the other who was accused of molesting the elderly hospitalized man. The latter Kramer is still alive and, apparently, was never convicted.]

Kramer’s cause of death is not known because unlike similar cases of sudden death, no autopsy was performed “due to religious objections,” the paper reported.
