The attack on 22-year-old Taj Patterson took place 9 days ago in Williamsburg and may have been meant as revenge for the "knockout " attacks that have been plaguing New York City over the past several months.

This is difficult to believe, and for the following reason. Satmar Chassidim are the worst street fighters I have ever seen or heard of (I am a street fighter); I kid you not. Having been at big weddings where fights break out on occasion due to all the pushing, I have witnessed Chassidic men well over 6' tall and weighing well over 300 lbs. hitting like girls. The only part of this in that respect that makes sense is that it would probably take around a dozen Chassidim to take down 1 brother, even if the latter is a "designer." More than once I have heard of situations where one non-Chassid has beaten the sh-t out of 3 or 4 Chassidim at a time.

Please, Just ask any Satmar about the Chaptzem. They used to make a point of patrolling the streets and beating the crap out of any Black youth they suspected of misbehavior. There were independent witnesses on the bus. It happened. Deal with it.

Please. I lift weights and practice Tung Soo Do and Krav Maga, and I sure as hell wouldn't bet on coming out of an ambush by a few people without getting my ass kicked.
There's also a difference between someone who gets into a fight at a wedding and someone who walks the street looking for a fight. The guy at the wedding is drunk and in the heat of the moment. The guy on the street might not be much of a fighter, but he'd at least be strong enough to throw a punch that would hurt if he's arrogant enough to provoke someone (maybe no technique, but even so). He might not be able to do much alone, but with a few similar people.......
All it takes is one lucky or well placed hit before you're too disoriented to put up a fight against a few people. Anyone who claims otherwise is just full of themselves
