Get-Refuser's Father Resigns From Artscroll
Avrohom Meir Weiss's father Rabbi Yosaif Asher Weiss has resigned from Artscroll Publications under a cloud after backing his son's almost three years of refusing to give his wife Gital Dodelson a get (religious divorce).

And this from the supposed arbitrator, Rabbi Ronnie Greenwald. Please click to enlarge:
"until this situation us resolved"
So, resolve it. Give her the get.

according to what i've read theyre still not telling the truth. she never agreed to arbitration whatsoever.
the discussion was about mediation. so there was no arbitrators decision but rather a mediators unsolicited suggestion to her.

So is it a paid vacation?

Almost a year ago, a number of respected rabbis called upon Mr. Weiss to give the Get. He is truly a Tzaddik Chamor!

I hope this letter together with the email from Greenwald are publicized everywhere. What a f'n lying bastard, this Weiss is.
I presume that we know that the email is authentic.

It says they agreed to the proposal of the arbitrator, not the award or judgment of the arbitrator. They are trying to make it sound as though an arbitration was held, the results of which Gital refuses to abide. These guys couldn't tell the straight truth and nothing but the truth if their life depended on it. And their audience is a bunch of semi functional illiterates, so it works real well for them.

They are not eligible for unemployment since they resigned. :)

"They are not eligible for unemployment since they resigned. :)"
Not necessarily.
In most cases, if one voluntarily quits a job, one may not be eligible for unemployment. However, if the reason for quitting is for "good cause" one may be able to collect unemployment benefits.
The state unemployment office is the body responsible for determining if the person's reason for quitting a job meets the definition of "good cause".
In several states, a "family emergency" which requires the employee's attention can meet the definition of "good cause". There are other "good cause" reasons to quit a job, ranging from a reduction in pay to a change in childcare arrangements.

Considering that this guy is probably well connected, I don't think he'll have trouble finding work. It's not like his fellow hypocritical frumma will think he is getting what he deserves for supporting his son. After all, he's only refusing to give a get. It's not like he drove on shabbat or...........engaged in mixed dancing

Doesn't sound like the arbitrator was officially engaged by the parties.
Why didn't they post the arbitration agreement. This has gotten way out of control. Cooler heads need to prevail. Give the get, provide confidentiality and non disclosure and agree to proper visitation.
Also provide for non disparagement so both families don't "poison" the innocent child.

If you want to see how really sick and twisted the thinking is by some in the litvishe yeshiva community, look here http://daattorah.blogspot.com/2013/11/weiss-dodelson-rabbi-yosaif-asher-weiss.html

Did this guy edit Tractate Gitten?

How did the wife agreeing to a "arbitration" become a prerequisite to the husband giving a get? Is this written in Gitin?

Yep, that's who they are. As is the case with all fundamentalists, their entire society is built upon a foundation of denial. That blog also has a post about the abuse figures reported by the Israel National Council for the Child. The first comment: "Baruch Hashem among frum families it is nowhere even close to these shocking numbers." They need desperately to believe it.
