Orthodox Synagogue Holds Prayer Gathering For Accused Divorce Gang Kidnapper-Torturer Ariel Potash
"Dear friends, Everyone is urged to attend an emergency tehillim [Psalms reciting] gathering tonight to seek rachmei shamayim for Ariel ben Esther Potash. R' Twerski personally requests that everyone who can attend, do so.…May the מוציא אסירים [One who frees from captivity; the One who breaks bonds] hear our tefilos [prayers] and send a yeshuah [salvation] promptly."
The sad part is that H.K.B.H would have saved
Them had they doing the right thing, and now
U want we should daven to hashem to save evil
People,
We should all be davening that the Rabbonim
See the light and if they had true emunah
They wouldn't be in the mess they are

They should have a Tehilim rally for all the victims of Epstein and Potash that were mercilessly beaten and tortured by them with electric cattle rod torture tools.

They can zug Tehillim as much as they want; it's not going to help.
Their boy is going down. The FBI isn't the local Rockland County yokels . . . they have the goods.

Of those allegedly involved, Potash is probably the one who can gain most by co-operating with the FBI and testifying against Epstein and Wolmark.
This 'tehillim' gathering may be the start of subjecting Potash to 'love bombing' to pressure him against co-operating with the G-Men by Rabbi Twerski's promise of divine intervention should he do what these rabbis expect of him.
This is against his best interests. If he did not hold these rabbis in such high regard and did not allow himself to be manipulated by them, he would not have ended up where he is now.

Who is this Twerski character? Is he of the same spawn as the Skver'er?

What is the prayer to be recited before one uses a cattle prod?

If you read the criminal complaint, you'll see that Ariel P. was there to serve as a shliach for accepting the get. There's no indication that he engaged in any violence of any kind.
He's not accused of being a kidnapper/torturer. He's accused of conspiring with the rabbis who engaged in this behavior.
And he's also innocent until proven guilty.
There's no implied intimidation or "you'd better not cooperate" message here, either. It's just a group of concerned friends and neighbors who feel completely helpless in the face of these arrests.
It's very easy to judge until the accused is someone you know and love.

A rally by an Orthodox congregation for a criminal from among them. No surprise. Business as usual. Nothing to see here folks, kindly move along..

If they don't attend, will Twersky have their homes burned down in the middle of the night like he did with poor Rothenberg?

Your attitude and naive comments will cause a reasonable person to vomit.
You state that "If you read the criminal complaint, you'll see that Ariel P. was there to serve as a shliach for accepting the get. There's no indication that he engaged in any violence of any kind."
So we should believe that Potash did not know what was transpiring? That he didn't know about the "kangaroo" beis dins, the kidnappings, and the violence?
Was Potash compensated for "serving as the shliach"? My guess is that he was. At the very least that makes him guilty.
Your comments are simply another attempt to demonstrate that you want two sets of laws: One for Rockland's Orthodox Jews, and one for everyone else.
It's not going to happen. You aren't dealing with your crony St. Lawrence. Potash would be wise to co-operate and face a lesser punishment.

The crime here isn't the kidnap torture angle. The premise is that an ex-husband / deadbeat dad / abusive husband holds all the cards in that the wife cannot move on with her life unless he willingly grants her a divorce. While he also cannot remarry and move on, the restrictions on him are societal in nature, whereas hers are directly religious. She is financially and maritally tied to him until he gives in and with a stubborn person, they have seen this as the only option.
Agreed in the old country, often it was the only option, and her three oldest brothers would break in and hold his head in a bucket of water until he agreed to grant a divorce. However, much better avenues are available nowadays. The ability of one person to make another miserable does not require physical force anymore, and modern methods are far more palatable to press coverage. However, for people stuck in the 50s (the 1750s), they cannot be more creative than that. That is the tragedy here.

"...the one who can gain most by co-operating with the FBI..."
These days it seems that many are co-operating with the FBI.

Whether or not you personally do not personally engage in the violence, one cannot "serve as a shliach for accepting the get" when the person being addressed has been kidnapped and is being tortured without being guilty of kidnapping and torture under US law.
If you are suggesting he was serving as a shliach BEFORE the kidnapping and that the refusal of husband led to the kidnapping that the "shliach" did not know was going to happen.........OK, we can talk.
We can talk - but you will agree the latter scenario - albeit possible - is a stretch.

FYI: I am a divorced hassidic male. My x and I couldn't cohabit, she asked for a divorce and she got it. I did not drag it on and on nor did I give her a hard time. That's the way it should always be. Men who are bastards and torture the living daylights out of their wives should be dealt with. Period. The community needs people like Rabbi Epstein and company. They are doing a great service and help rid us of the agunah crisis.
You are a bunch of fainthearted individuals. Shame on you.

"Who is this Twerski character? Is he of the same spawn as the Skver'er?"
Robert, the Twersky's (var. "Twerski") are a huge family with members in pretty much every form of Orthodoxy. I believe they all descend from Menachem Nochum Twersky of Chernobyl (1730–1797), who was a follower of the Baal Shem Tov.
Abraham Twersky, the psychiatrist, is a member of that family, as have been all of the Talner Rebbes.
