Gestetner was dumped by the New York State Republican party after it learned about Gestetner's role in that Weberman fundraiser and about Gestetner's affiliation with a vehemently anti-Zionist hasidic group. Yossi Gestetner, who served as a spokesperson for the massive Williamsburg fundraising event for hasidic pedophile Nechemya Weberman, was hired by Thompson's campaign as a consultant to set up events in the hasidic community.

Gestetner was dumped by the New York State Republican party last year, which had hired him to be its Jewish liaison, after it learned about Gestetner's role in that Weberman fundraiser and about Gestetner's affiliation with a vehemently anti-Zionist hasidic group. Ken Thompson hired him anyway.

Months ago, Brooklyn D.A. Charles J. Hynes's primary campaign was allegedly negotiating with Gestetner with the aim of hiring him as a consultant to do much of the same things Gestetner is now doing for Thompson.  But that deal apparently was never finalized and both Hynes and Gestetner at the time denied it.

Thompson, who routed Hynes in the Democratic primary, is now facing him again in the general election because Hynes – who has repeatedly lied and race-bated – is now running as a Republican and a Conservative.

A source close to the campaign told me Thompson is unaware of much of Jewish community internal politics and most likely wasn't aware of Gestetner's role in that Weberman fundraiser or of his affiliation with anti-Zionist hasidism. The source also said that Thompson did not seek out Gestetner and that his hiring was not Thompson's direct doing.

However, Thompson's campaign spokesman, James Freedland, did not answer repeated requests over the past week for clarification of Gestetner's status with the campaign.

Gestetner (and or the rabbis) put himself in a position to consult non-Jews on Jewish issues. He became the go-to man to get things done. In this case, to get out the chasidic vote.

Gestetner appears to be an arrogant man who runs after koved.

I wonder what will be owed him for all the votes he will bring.

Also, I wonder how "pure" he will remain associating with non-Jews and engaging in bitul toyrah.

The "The Theater of the Absurd" continues. Tune in to this over the next few weeks. This illiterate, inciteful, distasteful fool will surely misspeak! Not only did he support Webberman, he stands firmly behind the admitted and convicted pedophiles, the brothers Dym. He defended the principal who beat a child, referring to him as merely "slap happy." He has referred to ERCSD parents as grandchildren of Hitler and defends his proclivity to refer to African Americans as shvartzes.

One day he is a PR consultant, the next day a news specialist and then turns to be an attempted murder/arsonist apologist, all without a shed of education. His twitter feed is a hate filled rant against Democrats and their principles but then the next day charms local dems to serve the "community" purpose. He is a joke! This truly shows the Thompson is clueless and has his head buried in the sand when it comes to the haredi community.

I guess you could bill it as one whore using another. On a brighter note, the entertainment value will be great. =)

I agree with Square Hole. Yossi made up my mind. I was totally undecided between Hynes and Tnompson. On the one hand I thought Hynes's running on the republican line was a last gasp but on the other hand I simply did't trust Clarence Norman who is all over Thompson's campaign. Now with Yossi hired by Thompson, I've made up my mind. It's Hynes. Yossi walking and talking with Thompson is no way to instill confidence that he would agressively prosecute sex abuse in the charedi community and protect its young victims. I'm disgusted as a parent. Thompson now has two whores and whole lotta shame.

It doesn't bother white folk to be branded 'white', why should it bother the 'African Americans' to be referred to as black? Whatever happened to 'black is beautiful'?
I do agree though that this Gestetner kid does not bring us much respect etc.
