Lots of allegedly illegal behavior is allegedly going on right now at the office of outgoing Brooklyn D.A. Charles J. Hynes – including removing records from the office so his successor, Ken Thompson, will never see them.

A reliable source tells me the following is allegedly going on in the Brooklyn D.A.'s office since D.A. Charles J. Hynes lost the election Tuesday night:
1. Senior A.D.A. Steven Kramer was among the many A.D.A.s electioneering for (now-outgoing) D.A. Charles J. Hynes in violation of New York State Bar Association rules. Kramer was caught taking voting information from voters at polling places.
2. Senior executive A.D.A.s are said to be enraged at scandal-ridden A.D.A. Michael Vecchione, the head of the Rackets Bureau. Why? Vecchione has allegedly been coming in before dawn, packing records and files into boxes, and allegedly illegally removing those boxes from the D.A.'s office so incoming D.A. Ken Thompson and his staff won't be able to use this information to indict Vecchione and other A.D.A.s – and perhaps Hynes himself – for their horrific behavior under Hynes watch, behavior which allegedly includes knowingly sending innocent men to prison. The enraged A.D.A.s aren't upset that Vecchione is illegally removing these records from teh D.A.'s office – they're mad because they believe Vecchione's well-publicized bad behavior cost Hynes the election – and will cost them their jobs.
Where's the FBI?
... then again they could simply be clearing out their desks since they effectively lost their jobs.

As you very well know, "they" were not "clearing out their desks" because none of them have lost their jobs yet. They work until after the general election until the end of the year.
