Video: Haredi Protests In Beit Shemesh, Police Response
Here is a Hebrew language Israeli TV news report about the haredi protests and riots in Beit Shemesh. You can see what appears to be a young Border Police member chasing down an beating a haredi protester who reportedly hit (or stoned) a Border Police officer yesterday, when the haredi protests had dwindled to about 50 total participants. At their peak Monday, more than 200 haredim rioted and 29 were arrested. The riots are meant to protest alleged desecration of ancient Jewish graves at a haredi-owned construction site there.
The Haredi bastard got what he so richly deserved--a beating. Great video. Now they need to throw the bum in jail for a couple of years.

The beating was for a reason that we didnt see before when he started to run after the hassid, the hassid must of thrown something against the soldier the soldier just didnt get that mad instantly at the hassid.

law enforcement must act professionally to be respected

Yes, I watched the video several times...the Israeli town-leader said the community cannot allow the Haredim to act out like they did.
It's a pity they didn't arrest every one of them.

Someone should tell Seymour that hurling rocks at soldiers can kill, cf. the story of David and Goliath.
Yes, a good old-fashion whooping will make these thugs think twice about their behavior in the future.

i'm with seymour. i have no problem with police or army responding with serious force when anyone including charedim are engaged in illegal activity like throwing stones, breaking thru barriers etc.. i would be in favor of rubber bullets, tear gas, and live fire below knees if someone is throwing rocks which can maim and kill. but thats only WHILE theyre in the act. afterwards the necessary force should be used to take them in custody. its then up to the court system to do its job and terrorists should get long sentences.
but once someone is in custody or can safely be placed in custody with minimal force, theres no place for individuals to take revenge by repeatedly punching someone.
the same laws which obligate the charedim obligate the police and army.

From the second part of the video we can see why the Haredim will win the next Bet Shemesh mayor election. The Hardeim have one candidate while the non-Haredim have many. Even Bennett who tried to have them unite under one candidates is heavily criticized.
