Video: Cops Force Hasidic Modesty Squad To End Restaurant Protest In Williamsburg
A hasidic modesty squad protested the grand opening of Moishe's Place kosher restaurant in Williamsburg, Brooklyn last night, claiming it was "goyish" and immodest. Here's video of the protest – and of police removing the demonstrators while local hasidm mock the demonstrators.
This next video shows a local hasid (white shirt, no jacket, smartphone) making fun of the protesters and other local hasidim enjoying it:
This what the modesty squad was protesting against:
Balloons, clowns, juggling ... it will certainly lead to mixed dancing. It is not sufficient to close the restaurant. It, and the entire city block that it has contaminated, should be razed to the ground.
And even that would not be enough ....

I love that word goyish. with that word they can ban everything even wearing bike helmets. yes as A kid I heard that many time how could you wear a helmet it is goyish

That is the Modesty Squad? It looked like 4 mental patients. The one on the end was holding the pole as though he may have a had a few drinks.
The police chased them away. Not much of a story there.

Obviously Moshe's did not bribe these abominations appropriately. I'm glad the cops shooed this vermin away. If I were Moshe's owner, I'd take the little boys aside and assure them that either they leave and never return or their brains would be littering the sidewalk.

What makes a kosher restaurant "goyish" and "immodest"? The clown in the picture (as opposed to the clowns demonstrating) was fully covered. He or she wore a sheitel. I don't recall commandments in Leviticus about balloons. Juggling balls seems similar to Talmudic logic. And how is a magic show different from Kabbalah teachings?

Perhaps the Charedim are coulrophobic (have a phobia of clowns).
It could relate to the Charedim being trapped in a perpetual child-like state.
