Satmar Schools Send Anti-Draft, Anti-Israel Announcement Home With All Grade-School-Age Students
Satmar's United Talmudical Academy schools sent this flyer home will all heder-age students today. It condemns Zionism and the draft of haredim, and promotes Sunday's massive anti-Israel demonstration in Lower Manhattan.
Here is a loose translation:
With the help of God.
Sunday there will be a huge protest.
We going to make fun of the Zionists, because they are saying that haredi yeshiva students must, God forbid, become soldiers!
We are not allowed to make a war with the goyim!
The Holy Satmar Rebbe, zt”l, told us that the Zionists stop the Holy Messiah from coming!
Protest Song:B’derech hatorah neiliech beish ibamayim lekadesh shem shumayim (We will go in the way of Torah through fire and water to sanctify God’s name!).
In their Talmudic studies, these scholars need to ask themselves if God ever intended that some of his subjects devote so much of their lives to prayer that they have developed no skills to support themselves or their families? Is it God's intention that they be supported by their secular neighbors (whose life style they certainly do not approve of)?
While there are non-human societies that support large numbers of unproductive members (think drone bees in a hive), when the going gets tough, the workers will eject the unproductive drones for the good of the hive's survival. While Israel would never do that, the requirement of military service is a major move in the right direction. Military service often opens the eyes of the most sheltered persons.

Military service is certainly broadening however what's going to broaden the viewpoint of the American Satmar? How do families headed by non-working Satmar men in Brooklyn manage to qualify for welfare and vouchers? They're not on disability - how do they qualify?

I love the graphics. Especially the trumpets. I guess they will march around, blow the trumpets, and Zion will fall down.

A better translation of פֿאַרשעמען
is "embarrass" rather than "make fun of".
SML... there are relatively few "nonworking" Satmarer men in America. In fact, they generally work very hard at low-paying jobs. They often get part of their salaries "off the books" in order to qualify for government handouts. Often they don't need to because their families are large enough. Walmart uses this tactic as well. By paying their employees such a low wage, the employees are often eligible for foodstamps to supplement; i.e. Walmart is subsidized by the government.
I dont' really have a moral problem with people who are working and take food stamps if they really need the assistance. My beef with the satmarers is that many highly-paid people who own cash businesses, hide their income and still take food stamps.

Where and when are these fucktards having a rally? I need to drive through Lower Manhattan and I wish to avoid it.

I like how the flyer promises but that they will be making a big Kiddush Hashem. Maybe it will be one like this one: http://bit.ly/15LlpyC
