Eight haredi rioters who were arrested at the massive haredi anti-draft protest Thursday night have reportedly been released in time for Shabbat, despite the fact that ten police officers were injured in the riots – two of them seriously enough that they needed to be hospitalized.
One rioter, a 17-year-old minor, was released without conditions by police. Seven others were released under the condition that they avoid participating in demonstrations for 90 days.
Police said all eight rioters would be prosecuted, Ynet reported.
During the 30,000-man protest, haredim threw stones, glass bottles, a smoke grenade and other objects at riot police and at a handful of haredi IDF solders who staged a small counter protest.
Ten police officers were injured. Two were hospitalized in moderate condition.
Five haredi rioters were lightly injured.
Bail is appropriate. That only 8 were arrested does somewhat support the idea that it was a minority that rioted. have to believe there is video somewhere - look forward to seeing it.

It doesn't require water cannon to control 8 rioters so I suspect these were identified as ringleaders. No doubt further details will emerge. 8 out of control Haredim is a disturbance. 800 is a riot.

""Eight haredi rioters who were arrested...... ten police officers were injured.....""
this ratio says nowhere near enough force nor arrests were used by police.

When will the government stop kissing Haredi ass? Oh how wonderful these bochurim will spend shabbat with their families, when they should be in jail awaiting indictment. The authorities say they will be charged. Sure, but you can bet when the police come to charge them they will have been re-located to the US or Europe. The Haredim still laugh in the face of the government.
