A school bus driver from Beit Shemesh was arrested for allegedly sexually assaulting a 16-year-old haredi female student. The assault(s) were allegedly committed in bus after the other students had been dropped off.

Ynet reports that a school bus driver from Beit Shemesh was arrested for allegedly sexually assaulting a 16-year-old haredi female student. The assault(s) were allegedly committed in bus after the other students had been dropped off.

The alleged victim, who is now 20-years-old, recently filed a criminal complaint with the police.

Police conducted an undercover investigation and then arrested the bus driver, who was remanded in custody.

Police are investigating to see whether there are other alleged victims.

What would be the difference? The compassion should be towards the victim. And the perp regardless of religious observance should be prosecuted to the letter of the civil law.
But should they choose the religious law I think Sharia Laws would be most appropriate.
