Rabbi Yaakov Yitzchak Roth could not take over as a Shomrei Emunim Rebbe when his father passed away in August last year. Roth could not execute his duties as rebbe because he was serving a long prison sentence for rape, sodomy, sexual abuse of a minor and obstruction of justice. Roth is now in the 12th year of his sentence and has claimed since his arrest that he was being set up by opponents. He has never admitted guilt or apologized. Roth will be released from prison today and is expected to open a hasidic court in Beit Shemesh.

Rabbi Yaakov Yitzchak Roth could not take over as a Shomrei Emunim Rebbe when his father passed away in August last year, even though his father wanted him to.
When Roth's father the Shomrei Emunim Rebbe died, the rebbe's will was opened and it said that all four sons were appointed rebbes.
His eldest son, Rabbi Raphael Aharon, was appointed as rebbe in Bnei Brak. Rabbi Gedaliah Moshe was appointed rebbe in Ashdod. Rabbi Shlomo’s son was appointed Rebbe in Jerusalem.
The Beit Shemesh Shomrei Emunim community was left without a rebbe – temporarily – because Rabbi Yaakov Yitzchak could not fill the role.
Why?
Because he was serving a long prison sentence for rape, sodomy, sexual abuse of a minor, incest and obstruction of justice.
Roth is now in the 12th 16th year of his sentence. He has claimed since his arrest that he was being set up by opponents. He has never admitted guilt or apologized.
Roth will be released from prison today, Behadrei Haredim reports, after serving his full sentence.
He is expected to open a hasidic court in Beit Shemesh, just as his father wanted him to do.

the woman who testified against him has retracted her claim 100s of times and has said she was paid to do it. It's all over the web. It's some more dirty hasidic politics that's going on here

If the charges were/are false, then I have sympathy for him.
If the accusations were/are true, then Roth will have a license to continue to molest. As rebbe, some will feel honored to spend private time with him. Those who don't will fear danger against them and their families, if the report abuse.

Lets hope he learned his lesson and follow the straight and narrow. As they say "dan l'kav sechus". I personally would not go to his his court for judgement after all he has been out of circulation for awhile unless he has special insight that can only be gotten while in prison. To play it safe I would also hold my crotch when in his presence.

I used to work for that company with generous benefits, one of them was matching contribution up to $5000. A Chabad rabbi I used to go to asked me to donate $5000 and we he gets the match amount from my company he will give me back the $5000 + $500 for my troubles. I politely refused and stopped going there.
For the records, other Chabad rabbis I donated and had the company matched the donation did not offer me that proposition…
