Video Censored: Chabad Rabbi On Shark Tank
Moshe Weiss, a Chabad rabbi from St. Paul, Minnesota, was on Shark Tank recently pitching a product he designed for the iPad. Here's the video – but with a special haredi twist.
What twist?
If you look closely, you'll see that the haredi site that uploaded the video blacked out the chest of the woman on the show.
Past that, the product seems good and Weiss' pitch was strong:
[Hat Tip: Sam.]
Corcoran dress did NOT expose her chest. The dress was quite modest. A small band of skin was exposed just below her neck. These people are beyond crazy.

Insane! And it's getting far worse. The Charedim are stuck in a loop of ever greater insanity and are headed for self-destruction.

what an amazing video,
on many counts.
he calls the city of paul, minnesota, st paul. just like non chabasniks call it. may be it's ok, for parnassa.
moysh of paul, mn, owns and operates an ipad.
he further developped software for the treif instruments.
they covered the collar bones of the lady in the show, yet never bothered to cover the collar bones of rebbitzen chaya mushka.

Good product idea. I don't have such a device, but my wife does and I used it once. It's a real logistical issue with a common sense solution. I understand why it has to be the way it is, but an accessory for people whose uses of the device can significantly benefit from from a direct sound path is practical and deserves shelf space before many of the current accessories that abound.

they covered her dress!
what a bunch of idiots.
i watch this show...i like it very much.
i'm glad he got a deal.
by covering her dress it's insulting not just for her but to think
that's how men in our community are??...they can't control themselves...
omg...how stupid.
i guess to these men then...going shopping in a supermarket
is like a porn show!
whatever...
at this point, i am beginning to feel that the regular jews that don't keep anything are looking like gems and good jews in g-d's eyes.

Just saw the original. Even my most pious Haredi sister shows that much collarbone, and she lives in Crown Heights. Okay, I guess that's out of my married sisters; I have one sister who is more stringent. We're clearly talking about a stringency that, at least in Chabad, is kept by no one (other than women with "great personalities," for whom keeping ridiculously unconventional halachot is a matter of practical convenience that is then turned to a defence mechanism to feel superior to other's of whom they're jealous).
Well, at least the show didn't cut to her shoes, beacause even blocked out you can imagine what's behind the black bar, and that shit can lead to dancing.

This was a great invention and the inventor was fabulous. I think I will have to buy one. However, why didn't they block out the woman's arms...aren't arms illegal too? She was practically wearing a turtle neck as it was...I watch the show every week. The dress code is really weird.

I wonder how close he lives to Shmarya. A neighbor indeed.

One has to wonder what the rabbi would have done if Barbar , made a offer. No handshake?

The "censoring" is crazy, it goes without saying.
Nice product and presentation, but seems to me it has a very limited shelf-life. As soon as Apple fixes the design flaw in a subsequent model, this clever gizmo becomes obsolete and that's the end of that. Good for a quick buck (and there's nothing wrong with a quick buck, provided you do it legally!), but not a long-term business model.

Leave it to Chabad to take a beautiful thing and ruin it. What normal sane person is going to be in any way attracted to the turkey neck of this elderly woman?

Commenters here need to realize that Chabad and Haredim are not synonymous.
Chabad was traditionally anti-Haredi, and so was the Rebbe. He was vilified by the Haredi leaders and he told his shluchim not to hedge when defending Chabad practices against them, in very strong terms. Today, Chabad, without the Rebbe, does not have the strength to tell the Haredim to buzz off, so they do things to appease them.
Chabad is not Haredi. It is its own brand. I will let the reader decide "brand" of what. But it is not fair to hang the Chabad with the label Haredi.

their rebbe was the worse of the lot.
it's not that he was great and they became lousy after his death. he was the cookie cutter that defined their nature.
the question is not if they are haredi or not, they 'do' clown as such; but how honestly jewish they should be considered.
