Thousands of haredim are reportedly expected to take part in a major ceremony Sunday night to welcome the Williamsburg Satmar Rebbe Rabbi Zalman Leib Teitlebaum, who is arriving on a visit from New York.
The ceremony will also double as a protest against the Zionist government and the looming military draft of haredim.
This is Teitelbaum’s first trip since he became rebbe on death of father several years ago. It coincides with the Israel wedding of one of Teitelbaum’s grandchildren and a cornerstone-laying ceremony for a new Satmar community being built in the Ramat Elchanan neighborhood of Bnei Brak.
Teitelbaum has already offered to pay any haredi $100 if he promises not to vote in Tuesday’s national elections and deposits his identity documents at designated Satmar locations for the day to prevent cheating. He also offered to pay yeshivas a much larger amount of money for promising that all their students would boycott the elections and similarly turn over their identity papers for the day. He promised to arrive in Israel carrying tens of thousands of dollars in cash.
A religious freedom and equality advocacy organization, Hiddush, has asked police to arrest Teitelbaum on arrival in Israel for violating Israel’s elections law.
In response, Teitelbaum’s aides leaked a story claiming that Teitelbaum would arrive in Israel with several “American senators” to prevent Israel from making an arrest.

Your sources are wrong its NOT tens of thousands of dollars in cash that he is going to give out its OVER THREE MILLION dollars which the bulk will go to institutions like yeshivas,boys schools,girls schools,kolleim which do not take any founding from the government of Israel.Money was given to him by people from all over not only from Satmar chassidim.
Btw,there will be a huge goodbye rally this Motzei shabbos.Please tell all the folks like the holy Nuchem rosenberg to organize a counter rally hee hee hee

Although not the majority,there is a small group pf exceedingly wealthy followers who contribute vast amounts of money to fund their own institutions.
Yeh those who can use food stamps,Medicaid take it.
But they have large infrastructures,large institutions the do give large amounts of tzeddakah internally.
What I want to know is, when is the real Satmer Rebbe going to show up? This one is a fake?

Aren't there are customs reporting requirements for moving more than $9,999 in cash?
I honestly believe that he should be turned back at the airport for threatening to interfere with elections.

when will the press conference be held? you know, the one where people are permitted to question their chosen leader about his recent actions. heres a couple:
1. rebbe, since there were quite a few girls with similar stories,other than the known victim who brought charges against weberman, what is your responsibility? wasnt he close to your inner circle? wasnt he on the vaad hatznius? didnt UTJ require the parents to send her to him? when the mother complained about an 11 hour ride upstate alone with weberman who told her SHE was at fault and made HER apologize to him?
2. dear rebbe, now that the evidence showed that weberman raped her from the time she was 12, arent she and her family owed support from you and the community? she was RAPED, and her poor parents suffered terribly. her father was so scared of what you might do that HE released a letter distancing himself from his own daughter who was abused at the hands of an evil man who was close to you.
3. why, given that are you taking actions which appear to be intent on hurting the fathers business?
oh, thats right, youll NEVER see such a thing. have to answer to the dumb flock? never....hahahahaha....no......he's the son of the previous rebbe which puts him beyond reproach. he never answers to anyone for anything. its good to be the king.
