Vizhnitz Hasidim Shocked By Sudanese Workers Sleeping Arrangements

Vizhnitz hasidim were reported to be “shocked” to discover yesterday that a secluded “sanctified” room used by the previous two the Vizhnitz Rebbes, the author of Imrei Chayim and his son the author of Yeshuot Moshe, had been “defiled” by Sudanese workers.
Because of overcrowding caused by natural growth in the hasidic group, the Vizhnitz center’s management decided to renovate the building while leaving the “Private Tzimmer,” the room the previous two rebbes used to meet with hasidim seeking advice or blessings, intact as is – disheveled and unkept but preserved as a piece of Vizhnitz history.
However, no one appears to have told the movement’s Sudanese workers, who unbeknownst to Vizhnitz leaders turned the secluded room into a sleeping area. A few mattresses were found scattered on the cold tile floor, and rumors are that the Sudanese held Christian prayer services in the room —although that has not been proven.

No damage was done so all they have to do is clean up the mess and lock up the room. No biggie

What is most offensive to those chassidim, that the Sudanese are black, gentile, or workers?

When I clicked on this link I somehow had the crazy idea that the Hasidim might have suddenly "discovered" the poverty of their Sudanese neighbors and decided to do something to help them, living up to their name of pious ones.
Crazy, I know.

I read the book "Imrei Chaim" once back in yeshiva days. It's about as profound as "Fun With Dick and Jane".
The Sundanese workers did nothing but purify that room from the filth and idolatry disseminated from there by these "rebbes". At least the Sundanese are honest hard working people who don't live off of lies and government handouts.
It's unfortunate that Jews, who are constantly whining about oppression and anti-Semitism are so free to treat other oppressed people with such hateful bigotry and to defame them as "impure".

I find it interesting that it does not seem to have occurred to these cheap, stupid Hasidim that if they had given their workers a decent place to sleep with actual beds instead of having them sleep anywhere on the floor that this never would have happened. Also, they seem to have the common delusion of bad employers that their employees can read their minds. If anyone with a brain had a room they did not want touched, they would have taped the door shut and put signs up reminding the workers to stay out.

Apologies to "I'm Only Sleeping"
------The Beatles:
When I wake up early in the morning
Lift my head, Vizhnitz schnorring
When I'm in the middle of a dream
I'm in bed, "Kushi!" they scream (Kushi they scream)
Please, don't wake me, nu, don't shake me
Leave me where I am - I'm only sleeping
Everybody thinks black hats are lazy
I don't mind, I think they're crazy
Trying to defend a medieval creed
So the public money bleeds (money bleeds)
Please, I work all day, Don't schrei "oy vey!"
And after all I'm only sleeping
Shutting my eyes and not meaning to defile their Rebbe
It's a bad time
Lying there and staring at the ceiling
In comes a guy with tefllin...
Please, I work all day, don't schrei "oy vey!"
And after all I'm only sleeping
Shutting my eyes and not meaning to defile their Rebbe
It's a bad time
When I wake up early in the morning
Lift my head, Vizhnitz schnorring
When I'm in the middle of a dream
I'm in bed, "Kushi!" they scream (Kushi they scream)
Please, don't wake me, nu, don't shake me
Leave me where I am - I'm only sleeping

I have to admit I had the same fleeting hope...

on re- flection and being updated on the west bank issue, it would not be inappropriate for the sudanese sleeping in the "holy " sleeping quarters to be seen as DISPUTED TERRITORY. The premises wre unoccupied. I vote the sudanese be granted sleeping benefits by the COMMUNITY they find themseleves mixed up in.

Yochanan, a comedian and a musical delight all in one package. Fabulous!
Friar Yid. - Yep, I thought "An early Nittelnacht present, they're disgusted at the concentration camps resettlement camps set up by the Israeli government"
But, then I remembered who we were talking about, and sighed, knowing that the BBHBB would care as much about these poor exploited men as they do about the chickens they sacrifice in their yearly voodoo kapparot embarrassment.

YL - nice. Extra point for the Beatles

R. Wisler-
The workers are under the Haredi regime of "Arbeit Macht Schrei". No place to sleep, and almost certainly paid pennies, if at all. If they complain? A quick word to the authorities, and they'll be in a camp eating dust for each meal, before they can say "Slave trade".
The irony, of course, is totally lost on the haredim.

I've heard that it was the Christian prayers to Jesus Christ that got those hasidim upset the most.
Though I doubt they would have reacted as strongly had Lubavitchers been caught praying to their Jesus Christ in the Vizhnitz holy of holies room.

from were do we develop such hate ?

Thanks: NL, Sarek.
LRC: Good point.

That's right "david", the negativity and hatred directed by Israelis against these hard working non-Jewish workers (Sudanese, Palestinians etc) MUST stop. It brings good to no one to hate non-Jews.

so lets preach that in our comments why dont we see love ,achdus.lets start and be committed to that

David - there's already a poster called David here, I'd suggest picking a different name.
Also, it's not up to everyone else to show achdus and support to degenerate, hateful or criminal yidden. It's up to THEM to stop being a shanda, to stop ripping people off, to stop raping women and children and stop spreading their hateful nonsense.

"david",
Who should we have "achdus" with? We certainly don't wish to be dragged down to the low level of morality and the indecency practiced by Vizhnitz! I can never be "united as one" with those who disregard God's commandments (such as those in Vizhnitz). They are the personification of evil which can never been "untied as one" with a moral person.
If however, you mean "achdus" with the oppressed Sudanese workers who sweat and slave in order to make an honest living by working in Israel, I am fully in "achdus" with them and donate to various charities to assist them.

I too, like Friar Yid,had for a moment the immense relief to think chassidim finally started to be ashamed of themselves and the way they treat gentiles.
What an idiot I am!

No problem. I worry about the mental competency of frumbags who can't even think of a unique screen name.
We have the duplicate 'david' and a copycat 'make', not to mention their Crown Prince who's spent months as 'I can't think of a name'
Poor thickwitted schmucks.
Posted by: No Light | December 04, 2012 at 06:20 AM
a copycat 'mike' that is.
Bloody phone.
