Rabbi Nuchem Rosenberg's Attorney Asks For D.A. To Step Aside In Bleach Assault Case
Abe George, who himself is a potential candidate for district attorney, cites Nuchem Rosenberg's long public opposition to DA Charles Hynes' mishandling of haredi child sex abuse cases and says Hynes should step aside and name a special district attorney to handle the case to avoid the conflict of interest.
Mr. Hynes said in a statement, “I will vigorously prosecute the defendant in this case, and nothing supports any compelling legal need for another venue or prosecutor.”

The letter just asks him to appoint someone else in the same office to prosecute the case. That would happen anyway. I sort of can't see Hynes doing it himself. I don't know what he was like years ago, but presently he seems monosyllabic and not terribly alert.
I think it's window dressing. If he was serious he would have demanded the Attorney General, a neighboring District Attorney or a Special Master be appointed. This was publicity.
The Schnitz should move the court for a change of venue. Nuchem is not a party to this action.
